Meet the legend that is Eric Kaniewski from KpH Deconstruction Services Ltd. This guy, along with his highly motivated team, have managed to recover over 200t of end of life glass from just 2 projects. I first met Eric last year and together we found innovate ways to remove glass from buildings under refurbishment or construction and remanufacture into new building glass. The words “Can’t” or “No” simply do not exist in his vocabulary when trying to find solutions! Our relationship has blossomed, and it was great to catch up with him this week closing out yet another project. The industry is changing, every week more and more organisations are joining our Glass Forever programme Saint-Gobain Glass UK and Ireland. This week alone I have been to another 5 new projects, closed out 2 and have a further 3 new projects starting next week. Want to be part of this amazing journey, then please reach out to one of our team. David Entwistle, Lee Glover, Chris Lloyd, Wayne Wright #GlassForever#Saint-GobainGlass

Innovative Reuse in Action: KpH x Studio TIP 💫 At KpH, sustainability is more than a commitment—it’s a collaboration. We are proud to have supported Studio Tip, a creative studio championing circular solutions, by donating reclaimed materials from on of our central London projects. What happened next? 💫 Public Art Installations: These materials were transformed into striking installations that inspire and enhance community spaces. Educational Engagement: Studio TIP uses these creations to promote material literacy, advocating for sustainable practices locally and globally. Why it matters:💫 Community Connection: Reclaimed materials reconnect people to their value, demonstrating the power of reuse. Scalable Impact: Studio TIP’s model provides a blueprint for other communities to adopt circular economy practices. KpH started our Glass Forever journey in the summer of 2023 when we met with Richard Calcutt to understand why it was so challenging for him to recover post-consumer glass from the construction industry. From there sprung the first shoots of innovation and our successful collaboration began. Both businesses were aligned and resolute in their determination to change the industries mindset and KpH, as the first deconstruction/strip out contractor to successfully deliver clean, uncontaminated glass back to Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, was able to pave the way for the rest of the industry to follow. The success of the Glass Forever Scheme since then is now well recognised. Rest assured we won’t be stopping there! Watch this space for the next meaningful collaboration. For now, we are proud to announce that we have recovered an amazing 500T across multiple projects and leading the way in recovering end of life glass from commercial buildings. Our huge contributions significantly supports the growth of Saint Gobain Glass Forever programme and helps drive the principles of a circular Economy. So, what does that mean? KpH Deconstruction Services Ltd reposted this
A fantastic effort by the whole KpH Team and the wider client/design team. It’s been a pleasure to be a part of delivering this scheme particularly in assisting the development team with their sustainability aspirations.
Strip out works at our 75 London Wall development are now just 6-weeks from completion, which will see the entirety of the existing 450k sqft building taken back to shell condition. A huge thanks to our Main Contractor KpH Deconstruction Services Ltd for keeping us to schedule on what has been an incredibly challenging 24-week programme, negotiating a fair few surprises along the way. A key strategy from the outset has been to retain and re-use all of the French Lussac limestone both internally and externally, for re-use in the new façade as we extend the building vertically. KPH have been pivotal in supporting us through the safe recovery of the internal stone, ensuring minimal damage to the material stock in the de-construction process. Other initiatives include the use of Globechain the ESG Reuse Marketplace which has seen significant volumes of materials re-purposed in the local community, recycling of glass through Saint-Gobain and re-use of ceiling tiles through SAS International, to name a few. We're now gearing up to commence the demolition and enabling works with our Main Contracting partner The Erith Group, who will commence their programme of works in January '25. GKR Scaffolding Ltd are currently busy erecting the scaffold around the site in readiness to hit the ground running in the new year. Thanks to Multiplex for their oversight and guidance in this early stage of the project and for the continued hard work of our entire project team to get us to where we are right now, having only taken VP of the asset in July this year.
