As Lorna Ingwell recently presented at the Local Government Partnership Network (LGPN), we can see that Local Gov is spending more of their IT budget with SMEs each year. With the push for increased social value and soon the procurement act pushing local spend, this should theoretically continue to rise. But how are authorities spending directly with SMEs and avoiding them misisng out to the big players? Frameworks? Frameworks are a great route to market, but from pretty much every conversation I had at the LGPN event, teams find that it takes too much time researching which to be using and in some cases, even costs too much money only to end up using the wrong one. Tussell allows teams to analyse which frameworks they should be using in a matter of seconds. Which frameworks does a specific supplier sit on? Which frameworks are live right now in any given category? Which contracts have already been called off of which framework?
