Last night I hosted my second subscriber tasting. 12 wines of the future. The guests were in charge. They decided if the wine had potential or not. This format reverses tradition and opens the evening up. Ps we do corporate tastings as well. Thank you for hosting Ronald Cummings-John - an unbelievable setting and hospitality. During lockdown, running my online wine business I found myself delivering wine well into the late hours of the evening. It was during these deliveries that I would often meet my new customers for the first time, albeit talking through a hedge. Despite the unusual circumstances, our conversations often turned quite meaningful, perhaps because I was often the only person they'd seen all day. I'm still in touch with many of them today. It reiterated the fact that face-to-face interaction trumps email any day. In a digital world, it's important to remind ourselves of that from time to time. #customer #journey
