We have loved working with the British Heart Foundation this year, getting creative, and fundraising in any way possible! From bake sales and tombolas to Deal or No Deal events, Christmas crafts, clothing sales and marathons, we definitely had an incredible year of fundraising. Having raised and matched just over £46,000 so far, we hope our contributions will support vital research and help the BHF work towards their goal of a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. ❤️The British Heart Foundation provided our associates with lifesaving RevivR CPR training, leaving us confident that we could save a life in an emergency. As a year of fundraising for the amazing British Heart Foundation will be coming to an end at the end of January, it is that time of year again when we get to announce our chosen charity partnership of 2025! Our associates have been casting their votes and we have been busy counting... The charity Mira has decided to support in 2025 is Young Lives vs Cancer 💡A study looking at global trends focusing on 29 types of cancer in people aged 14–49 years, found incidence of these cancers increased by around 79% between 1990 and 2019. 💡In the UK, around 3,800 people under 25 are diagnosed with cancer every year. These statistics highlight the critical need for continued support and help for young people affected by cancer. This year, we look forward to being able to work with Young Lives vs Cancer to support young people and their families facing the unimaginable challenges of cancer from fear of treatment, family strain, financial worries, mental health struggles, and isolation. It's World Braille Day today! 🌟A day celebrating its inventor Louis Braille, a Frenchman who lost his sight as a result of a childhood accident. He developed Braille - a system of raised dots that are arranged in a braille cell, which distinguishes one character from another. This system has enabled visually impaired people to be able to read and communicate with each other since 1824! 💡We might not have invented a brand new way of communicating but we have developed the first of this kind, inclusive mixer shower , thanks to our product designers and working with the RNIB The Mira Select Flex was designed on an ethos that showering should be accessible for everyone. We took inspiration from the market leading Mira Advance electric shower to design an inclusively designed mixer shower.
