Kayleigh Cooper founded POP Pressed, an organic cold-pressed juice brand, after securing a £15,000 Start Up Loan. The Manchester-based business is plastic free and focuses on having a positive environmental impact. POP is an acronym for “powerful organic plants”, in a nod to the roots of the main product of the business.

Here's a round up of inspiring companies we've recently supported 🚀 💄 Lancashire-based Ruuby, an on-demand beauty marketplace, received an investment from Praetura Ventures to accelerate its growth in the North West by doubling down on its existing operations in Manchester and Liverpool. ⚡ Knowsley-based electromechanical specialist Central Group (UK) was backed by FW Capital to fund their growth, job creation and advances in new technology to support its digital transformation strategy. 🚦 Based in Stockton-On-Tees, Southern Asset Management is the leading provider of specialist structural testing and asset management of streetlamps, masts, signs and structures in Teesside. Their investment from NEL Fund Managers Limited will help them expand into new markets, including onshore wind turbine testing and rail sectors, to support the UK’s green energy transition. 🤝 Hull-based Wild Intervention delivers all-encompassing support to young people aged 16 and over. Funding from Business Enterprise Fund (BEF) | Loans & Finance for Small Businesses will help them to develop an app, called Sapling, that can accurately store, monitor, and track each person’s progress through their EHC plan. 🔐 A Humberside-based locksmith J O'Neill & Co will create new jobs, expand operations and continue its 80-year tradition of serving the local community, thanks to funding from Business Enterprise Fund (BEF) | Loans & Finance for Small Businesses. 📢 Smaller businesses in the North West remained cautious of the business trading environment in 2023, with 63% perceiving more threats than opportunities. 🚀 Despite this, 33% said they would be willing to use external finance to grow and 32% said they anticipated seeking external finance in the next 12 months. 🤝 We remain committed to helping smaller businesses access external finance, supporting them in a more difficult economic environment.
