Ardian #Semiconductor has bought Ion Beam Services, a semiconductor equipment and services company, beating out competition from strategic buyers offering “significantly higher prices”. ARMEN's investment pace “is reflective of the growth in the GP stake market in Europe,” on which it is cautiously optimistic for next year, Catherine Haumesser, managing director and head of UK at the firm, told PE Hub. The heterogeneity of European GPs offers valuable diversity to #GPStake specialists like Armen, she added. A minority investment in Signal Capital Partners last week was the fourth for Armen’s GP Stakes Fund I, its second in #PrivateCredit and third of the year, in keeping with Armen’s plan of two to five deals per year. Recognition of Armen and the wider GP stakes market shows that the “direction of travel is clear” for the market in Europe, said Haumesser. “The acceleration and pace at which this is taking place can be debated but it is clearly on an upward trend. “Armen was started in September 2022 and we now have GPs coming to us, we meet all players in the ecosystem.” #PrivateEquity Thanks Iman Barb for arranging the call https://lnkd.in/d-QZCFcC
