🌍 INNOspace Masters is an international innovation competition initiated by the German Space Agency at DLR in 2015 and organised every year together with prominent partners from industry and the European Space Agency - ESA. The competition is open to companies of all sizes, start-ups, research institutions and universities as well as individuals worldwide and promotes ideas for the transfer of technologies and know-how from other industries to the space sector (spin-ins/New Space) or from space to non-space sectors (spin-offs). For the 2025 the competition theme is: "Energise Our Future – Cross-Industry Innovations Linking Earth and Space." 📢 The German Space Agency at DLR and the German ESA Business Applications Ambassador invite you to a free online event: ‘Space4Intermodal Transport’ on Thursday, 6 March 2025. Please register by 3 March. Intermodal transport is the combination of different modes of transport, such as rail, road, air or sea transport as a central point of sustainable and efficient logistics. A characteristic feature is that only the loading units, such as containers, change means of transport during the entire journey. A new call for proposals: ‘Space for Intermodal Transport’ will open later in March under the framework of the ESA Business Applications and Space Solutions (BASS) programme. 🟢 WEBINAR: ‘Green Hydrogen as a Sustainable Energy Source’, 26 March. We will be joined by special guest speaker Gordon McIntosh as we introduce a new opportunity for European teams to apply for funding to explore innovative uses of space technology to advance green hydrogen as a sustainable energy source. Gordon has a wealth of experience in the energy sector, holding current roles as chairman and director of Aberdeen International Associates (AIA), Director of Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) and Chairman and Director of QED Naval Ltd. With a focus on international development and trade with a principal focus on energy, Gordon is currently involved in the following overseas markets with regards to hydrogen – Colombia, Ireland, Rwanda, Bahamas and Canada through his work at AIA.
