That's a wrap folks! McLaren take their 1st F1 'Constructors Title' in 26 years! What an incredible season and comeback for McLaren, and boy, was it close with them and Ferrari, coming down to the last race where every lap counted! Ferrari were so close, with Leclerc managing to go from 19th on the grid to finish 3rd, with a once-in-a-lifetime 1st lap getting from 19th to 8th by the end of lap one, Charles and Sainz gave it everything they had to try and take the title from McLaren! We had antics from the outset, with, yes, you guessed it, Max Verstappen taking out Piastri in the first corner. Both drivers recovered, with Piastri falling to dead last and having to climb back to the points, taking a penalty on the way for hitting Colapinto. It didn't matter in the end for McLaren, who just needed Norris to win to keep Ferrari at bay. Norris drove a perfect race from pole position to take another awesome win this year, and to be fair, most of the teams seemed to have a pretty good race in terms of strategy. Lewis Hamilton signed off after 12 years with the Mercedes F1 team with a storming drive coming from 16th to 4th, overtaking his team-mate Russell in the last few corners, with the pair running inverted tyre strategies leaving Hamilton on faster tyres towards the end. Poor old Perez didn't make it through the first lap, with a hectic move by Magnussen resulting in Bottas spinning Perez. The rumours are very much pointing to this being Perez's last race with RedBull Racing. I do believe that had their PR not been so damaged this year with Christian Horner's sexting scandal, Adrian Newey leaving, and fallouts between Horner and Jos Verstappen, RedBull would've dropped Perez earlier on, but they had to be the nice guys to help rebuild their shattered PR image. We heard that the Williams reserve driver Colapinto was going to RedBull, but several crashes seemed to have killed that rumour. Will it be Lawson? Who is leaving F1? We say goodbye to Bottas, who has not been offered a place at Sauber (soon to become Audi) next year, he is rumoured to be going back to Mercedes as a reserve driver. Kevin Magnussen left Haas and F1 after making a comeback for the last few seasons. What an awesome season, especially the 2nd half, where McLaren and Ferrari have really brought the fight to RedBull. Sypathies to Russell and Hamilton who haven't had the car to really deliver. At least Mercedes can't screw Hamilton over in qualifying or race with terrible strategies any more. Phew! Here's looking forwards to next year and next season, when we'll see Hamilton in scarlet red, and enjoy the last year of the current regulations. Will Norris take his 1st title?
