Breaking news 📣 Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has delivered a major apprenticeship announcement this morning in a speech to small businesses in Warwickshire. He said: “Apprenticeships benefit young people and the businesses who hire them, but for SMEs the system can be confusing and expensive, in spite of huge progress. To ensure funding is available whenever there is demand, we are increasing the apprenticeship budget by £40m, and for small businesses hiring young apprentices, government will foot cost of training in full.” At Talentview Construction (TVC) we welcome this as a way to remove some of the barriers to hiring an apprentice by increasing funding for small businesses and making the levy process simpler. After all, apprenticeships benefit both young people and employers.
