If you ever wonder whether the world is really making progress consider this: Edmundas Balčikonis is Co-Founder and CEO of Such Much AI, an AI document generation platform for sales and procurement teams. Don’t rush that sentence: a platform that can automatically generate documents to help sales and procurement professionals do their jobs. This would not have been possible even three years ago. But it’s always been possible to be an entrepreneur, and that is a word perfectly suited to Edmundas. “Over the past thirteen years, I’ve founded four startups with two successful exits,” he told TechFinitive. “These include TrackDuck, a visual feedback tool acquired by InVision in 2017. And Eddy Travels, an AI-powered travel assistant that scaled to over 4 million users before being acquired by TripAdd in 2022.” At Such Much AI, Edmundas explains, “we save businesses time with AI by generating proposals, responding to RFPs and creating other docs”. As always, we’re always interested to hear what AI tools are used by entrepreneurs in the world of AI. That’s what Edmundas goes through below, and if you don’t at least try using Gong, Evergrowth or Salesloft after reading this article we’d be very surprised. Hopefully, you’ll find the rest of this interview equally interesting too! Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gKSK_wuF

Are you a software snob? Someone who sneers at the democratisation of design through online tools? Despite her evident expertise, Halina S. – the Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Prompt – has a far more inclusive attitude. “We’ve all seen numerous memes making fun of graphic designers who use Canva,” she told us. “Please, can we just stop being software snobs? It’s nice to see more people having access to design software and using it either as designers catering to clients or entrepreneurs using it for their own businesses.” That’s quite a relief, as here at TechFinitive we’re advocates of Canva, Midjourney and even Copilot Designer. And our collective design qualifications… well, let’s not go there. Let’s instead introduce Prompt, a creative marketing agency that specialises in content and commerce. Founded earlier this year, with the backing of Lizard Global (we published our interview with Jeremy Raes, Co-Founder and CEO of Lizard Global, yesterday), it helps businesses deliver impactful campaigns using digital marketing. A great example being its strategy and execution during the launch of Malaysia’s first Padel and Social Club earlier this year, in partnership with Ascaro Malaysia. Halina – with stints as a Creative Director at Ogilvy, Grey Group and Publicis – brings design flair to Prompt, and a BA in Fine Arts. But, as you’ll see from the full interview below, she embraces technology too. “I don’t view AI and automation as a threat; a challenger is more likely,” she said. “Creativity and design thinking are not dependent on technology, it can survive without it. It has for thousands of years. I’d like to think that graphic designers of today will evolve to be even more creative, more innovative, with the help of these tools.” Which brings us very nicely to our first question… Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gG-K6gbe

Safe to say that software development company Lizard Global is focused on data. “We use data analytics to help our clients optimise their advertising campaigns and track the performance across various channels,” said Jeremy Raes, Co-Founder and CEO. This includes deploying dashboards and real-time analytics so clients “make the best and informed decisions in the way they see fit to move forward”. An example? “[Our] Drinkies app, a food and beverage delivery app in collaboration with Heineken,” said Jeremy. “We applied all mentioned above to help them boost their presence in the food and beverage market space and analyse and leverage data to make the needed changes to appeal more to their users.” It should be no surprise to hear that Lizard Global is already taking advantage of AI where it can. “AI-driven tools can quickly sift through and analyse market data, financial reports and even competitor insights, providing us with a comprehensive view of each client’s unique position,” Jeremy explained. “This allows us to start conversations with informed perspectives and build stronger cases tailored to our clients’ needs. Rather than spending time on the initial legwork, our team of experts can focus on strategic elements – like crafting solutions that align directly with the client’s goals and navigating challenges specific to their industry.” So, as the quote that forms part of the title of this article indicates, Lizard Global isn’t trying to replace humans but amplify their skills. It’s a theme we’ve heard before, including from IBM Consulting. And the approach is clearly working. Lizard Global has achieved a phenomenal 85% client retention rate, including its first-ever client. Find out more in the full interview below. 💡 Interview here: https://lnkd.in/gyajGmBM

Thomas Kriebernegg previously shared with you his thoughts about generative AI and its importance in marketing and business, in general. That and the importance of the wider use of AI is still debated by many. Now, he argues that in 2025 those conversations will be a relic of the past. At least in marketing and, more specifically, app marketing. Here's why: https://lnkd.in/g5V-3VEV

According to a Sophos report into the state of ransomware in the retail sector this year, compromised credentials were the biggest root cause of attacks in the UK. And 33% of incidents were pinned on poor passwords. Globally, Sophos found that it took 28% of ransomware-impacted retailers more than a month to recover from such an incident. And that 39% of those organisations now require their suppliers to have some form of cyber insurance policy in place. Why am I throwing these statistics at you? Because retailers are firmly in the crosshairs once again, with the fallout from the Blue Yonder ransomware attack. “While the full impact of this particular attack remains unclear,” the Sophos Director of Incident Response, Peter Mackenzie, said, “affected customers often have limited options while awaiting remediation.” Story here: https://lnkd.in/ggMZJqU6 💬 Our thanks to Michael Smith, CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, CTO at Vercara and Paul Caron, MBA, Head of Cyber Security, Americas, at global intelligence firm S-RM for their insights for this article.
