The hotel is old but spotless.
Great location, close to bars and cafes, beach across the road.
Sitting out a few chairs tables and umbrella's .
We booked for one night so clos3 to tye airport, however although we go5 a good 0rice with Trip.com
We were very disappointed with the room location, it was an interior room looking onto an interior wall.
The heat was awful as the zircon though on all night did not work, clearly complaints previously as their is a fan in the room but no fresh air, awful.
No kettle in the rooms only an empty fridge lol
Their was an open Buffet to purchase food, however it was no5 covered and looked dry, no chef for an evening meal either..

this hotel is perfect if you want easy way to get to airport the next day. there is a bus stop 5 min walk away, the buses connect all the island. the staff are efficient and polite. they helped me print my boarding pass at no charge. I didn't try the dinner buffet(half a dozen dishes)but looked good for about 18 euros. there is a big map of arrecife on the wall that you can photo and use to get around the city. we had a sea view room, recommended the view is nice.

Quality city hotel fully compliant with 3*
We can say that the hotel is on the first line, if it were not for the road that separates the hotel from the beach, but in fact, leaving the hotel you get to the beach

Good points: Spotlessly clean, right on the beach and close to the local bus station for cheap and convenient travel to nearby resorts. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Helpful and polite staff. Housekeeping came daily and did a brilliant job. Opportunity to book excursions at reception. Free wifi and air con. Beach is quiet and not full of tourists, popular with the locals. Walking distance to the town with lots of mainstream Spanish shops and a pretty harbour with cafes. Worth noting: Beach has no sun beds. Room doesn't have a kettle. The hotel doesn't have a pool but the beach is across the fairly quiet road and the water is shallow. Buses from the bus station come when they feel like it which makes it a bit tricky to plan but it's a cheap way to visit the nearby resorts. The city has a very Spanish vibe so if you want to be closer to the usual tourist amenities, you might be better looking at nearby Costa Teguise or Puerto del Carmen. We travelled daily there for the bars and restaurants. A cab will set you back €25 or so and a bus is €1-2 each. Be aware that the buses don't accommodate buggies or wheelchairs.
Response from Property: Hi Zoe, Thank you for your detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear that you found our hotel spotlessly clean and enjoyed our beachfront location. We’re glad you appreciated the breakfast, helpful staff, and daily housekeeping. It’s great to know you found the local bus station convenient for travel and enjoyed the local vibe. We hope to welcome you back soon for another pleasant stay! Best regards, The Hotel Diamar Lanzarote Team

Just stayed there for three nights due to an unexpected event, couldn't have been better. Clean and airy with really friendly reception staff. It made a really pleasant change from your average tourist hotel and is handy if you have business in Arrecife.

Emergency stay. Our flight was delayed overnight so we was put up here for the night. Fairplay to the receptionist having to deal with a coach load of very tired people to check in which she done pretty quickly. Room was nice and clean great beach location. Breakfast was okay.

We're glad to hear that, despite the situation, you found our receptionist efficient in handling the check-in process for all the tired travelers. It's great to know that you found your room nice and clean, and that you appreciated our fantastic beach location. We also appreciate your feedback on the breakfast and will take it into account to improve our services. Nice hotel with beach in front and 5 minutes to downtown. Although hotel is a bit outdated, it was clean and i felt welcome. I had dinner included and the Chef cooked nice dinner for me. He even surprised me when he said that he can bring me more , if i would like. Tasty pork steak and salad. Thank you , Chef!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay here in March 2024. Very easy to reach via a taxi from the airport. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our visit, including storing our bags on the last day. The hotel itself was spotless and our room was cleaned every day no matter what time we left the room in the morning. Cannot comment on the food as we always ate out (cafes and restaurants within a minutes walk and about a 15-20 minute walk to the harbour), but there was a different buffet menu offered each day which you could view the menu in the lifts each morning. You cannot stay any closer to the beach, just over the road. Rooms with balconies overlook the sea and the rooms at the back (where we stayed) overlook a school but have incredible views of the hills and patio doors that open with a balcony rail. Very quiet at this time of year and no noise disturbance in the night, I had some of the best sleep in years! Great coffee machine in the reception area for less than a Euro and the bar/café area was great with some outdoor seating. Definitely looking forward to going back soon.

The location on the seafront is amazing right next to the beach. It is a functional hotel - expensive for what you get. Clean pleasant, the back rooms in the fourth floor are quiet. It is a bit tired and needs a facelift but as explained functional for a night stay. Had to book two rooms as didn’t have availability for four persons in a family with children over 12 YO. Did not take breakfast as so many nearby cafes.
Response from Property: Hi Katie, Thank you for your detailed review. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated our amazing seafront location and found our staff pleasant. We appreciate your feedback regarding the room conditions and will take it into consideration as we work on improvements. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by the room availability for your family. We hope to welcome you back in the future and provide an even better experience. Best regards, The Hotel Diamar Lanzarote Team

The rooms to the front do have a balcony overlooking the sea, the rooms to the other side of the building have a Juliet balcony overlooking the mountains and the city, which personally, I felt was the poorest capital city I have visited in Spain. The rooms in the middle don't even have a Juliet balcony! I wasn't in them but they surely get all the noise carried out through the inner courtyard, the people on the corridors, talking guests, suitcases carried... The rooms per se are fine, spacious and clean. If you are having to find a hotel in the capital, then this is perfect, otherwise, look a better accommodation place. The breakfast is alright... the coffee is poor quality. There is no pool, but the beach right opposite is great. the wifi is fine to be fair, maybe a bit shaky in the evening when all guests are using it. Out of the staff members, Alex (reception) is the best and the guys at the breakfast bar; but others are not committed to provide a good service to the guests (avoid the reception manager at all costs, she has some attitude issues, especially for this type of business). The worst part of being a city hotel is the location of the garage, which is nearby... but logistically, it's a nightmare.
Response from Property: Thank you for sharing your experience at the Hotel Diamar Lanzarote. I’m glad to hear that you found the rooms to be fine, spacious and clean. It’s great to know that the hotel is located near the beach and the wifi is fine. However, I’m sorry to hear that the coffee quality was poor and the garage location was inconvenient. We take your feedback seriously and work to improve service to staff members. Thank you for being our guest!
