Has been several years since last visit. Pretty decent, ...fitness room available 24 hours, - adequate with free weights, treadmills and a couple of cycles. Weight machine available as well. Pool, though was only open till 9pm. Water dispenser could do with more accessible paper cups.

We were the second time in the shortest time guests in this comfortable and modern hotel because we liked it so well and we felt well around. Here the guest really doesn't miss anything! The whole staff is always very friendly and helpful. The girls at the reception warmly welcome the guests with a smile and convince at any time with their patience and competence. Here you feel really welcome. What we liked very well: every day all staff* from all departments such as kitchen, reception, service, etc. are together to talk to each other for a short breakfast break. This is how communication works beyond its own field, strengthens the sense of communion and facilitates cooperation - which ultimately benefits guests. This is how the mutual works, please continue! The breakfast buffet is beautifully decorated and offers something for every taste. The cocktails at the bar are really delicious and the pizza is also good taste. The rooms are bright and friendly furnished, with large, sound-sluring window fronts. I have extreme back problems, but I could sleep very well in the comfortable beds. The bathroom is also as modern and skillful, with large mirrors and cornery washing basins as well as sufficient depots. There is nothing used here and you feel just well. Because of my round birthday, we received a room upgrade to a great suite at our second visit. This was notably larger, had a box, bathroom and toilet room are separated here. Very pleasant, especially when you are too second. At this point again my sincere thanks for this wonderful gift!!! (Just good that nobody saw how we were gratified and how children jumped around). We will certainly come back, I'm looking forward to it 😘

Stayed at this hotel a few years ago and standards have dropped very badly. Greeted by friendly staff in reception, made our way to the rooms which have not been updated in years , terrible beds and pillows . Smell of dogs throughout the hotel especially in the lifts , my Wife drinks de caf coffee which could not be got for the duration of our stay , one of the staff informed us it has been unavailable for months . In the leisure area there was no towels , we rang reception but waited for 30 minutes and still no towels . The air conditioning is non existent! Being English I expected at least one or two channels on tv but not one . Our last night there we had been sight seeing all day and fancied some room service with a glass of wine , we were informed there was no room service available, hard to believe in a hotel !!! There was not even a la carte in the bar/restaurant, all was available was a buffet which looked like something served in a youth hostel . I can safely say we will not be returning here , it’s absolutely shambolic !

The hotel is outside the city’s 2nd ring road and less than 1 km from the shopping streets and the Central Railway Station. The hotel room is quite big, but the single bed is too small! 😂😂 The breakfast is very rich and there are fresh bees. The underground garage is large and the parking is convenient!

The Hotel is in walking distance from Leipzig Main Train Station. My Brother and I visited Leipzig with our elderly Father who cannot walk very far anymore. The Standard rooms in the historic Building were lovely, Dinner at the Hotel Restaurant was good, Restaurant and Bar staff very friendly and attentive. The Breakfast Buffet is wonderful. Our problem was that it was not clearly communicated to us that there was no Parking facility at all to Set down a Hotel Guest who cannot walk very well. We were informed that the Hotel had a small private car park but that parking spaces could not be booked in advance. When we turned up the Hotel had no Car parking spots and we could not even set down our Father in front of the Hotel as there is major traffic around the Hotel and no possibility to stop at all. So, we were informed to park at the public Parking facility at the Train Station and to walk over to the Hotel. This is too far distance for anyone who cannot walk very well and with luggage! So, anyone with walking difficulties please note you can NOT park close to the Hotel not even for Drop off.and you can NOT reserve a Hotel Car parking spot. Other then that, the Hotel is fine but we were really annoyed and stressed out by the situation upon our arrival. Reception staff should have informed us better, was also not very helpful with making suggestions for Dinner at local Restaurants.

Friendly staff at the reception of the Motel One Augustusplatz; you pay at check-in, good price-performance ratio. We had two rooms, located behind, thus absolutely quiet. The standard room is relatively small but practically furnished with open rail, clothes bar to hang out clothes, shower, everything very clean. The second room was larger with an additional sofa and a large dressing box, comfortable relatively solid mattresses. In the room you could stay well even longer. Good breakfast, for me the cheese offer could have been greater (with cheese per piece, not just dish cheese). The breakfast room is overfyld quickly from 9 a.m. so you have to plan a waiting time until you get a table; careful breakfast staff. No coffee machine in the rooms, but in the bar of Motel One (separate entrance) you can buy a cup of coffee/tea in the afternoon. You cannot go to the hotel directly by car, but stop about 50m away in the Ritter street and load the luggage, the passengers can then bring it to the hotel while you drive the car into the deep garage Q-park on August Square (Special hotel guests). Very efficient location behind the Nikolai church - market, Thomas church, opera, wallhouse is all walking distance, to which the trams near August Square.

The Bad The central reservations staff. It is becoming more and more common that central reservations do not do their job across a number of chain hotels and here they badly let down their hotel team and ourselves with our group visit. Tardy if ever replies to emails, sneaky hidden small print in contracts stating that rooms would only be serviced every other day! Why would anyone accept this? It's a false economy that can only resuly in customer dissatisfaction. It is bad enough for us to reconsider whether we would use this hotel again. This is such a shame as the hotel is really good. Middle management should give equal attention to client satisfaction as they do to cost savings and learn to reply to enquiries promptly. The reception staff are variable: some are great and efficient others are scruffy and careless. If you are going to issue them with a uniform, make sure that they wear it smartly and represent the hotel well. There is no car parking (but it is in central Leipzig) and coach parking is problematical. The Good Recently refurbished to a good standard Good sized rooms Great breakfast Great location. I would have loved to have given this hotel four stars but can not because of central reservations. Still they can be proud that they saved some money on not servicing client rooms. It is very frustrating to see what should be a fantastic hotel spoiled by offsite people who do not care

Pros: fairly new, very modern and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was really good but it did get a bit boring by the fourth morning as it was always the same. Tram station just in front, and walk to Old Town was 20 - 25 minutes. Room was quiet. Nice lounge area in the lobby. Cons: no restaurants nearby (onsite one had limited menu, didn't try it), no complimentary tea or coffee. Pillows are paper thin, but did get two extras when I asked. Rooms are TINY with limited wardrobe space (and only a few hangers), and air conditioning was awful - hubby had to get up several times a night to reset it, and finally after second night we complained and were given a different room. Air was better at first but still did not work through the night (and windows only open a couple of inches at the top so did not help). With the temp at 24 - 26 C we got very little sleep. And the morning after the room switch a man walked into our room demanding to know my husband's name. Since he speaks no German, my husband sent him down to the lounge to speak to me. A woman approached me there and asked for my name and was challenging our presence and entitlement to breakfast. I explained the room switch and she confirmed the details and all was good. But this was awkward and very annoying, it should not have happened. Overall we did not mind the walk to Old Town, which is beautiful, but there wasn't a lot to see or do in the area. Without the air conditioning problem and room confusion I would have given one more star.

We are guests for the second time after the Coronapause in our favorite hotel in Leipzig. The rooms are super equipped with, among other things, a water cooker and a small tea selection. The beds are cozy and the bathroom has a good size. Check-in is possible until late in the evening and parking is free. Breakfast has everything the heart wants. Some choose the backbroods, which I don't share. However, there is a choice and the breads are fresh baked. In my eyes, it is done as needed, which leads to no food must be discarded. In general, there is little packaging waste that occurs at breakfast. The outdoor environment, as well as the restaurant and the bowling trail offer good opportunities for a evening design. In addition, the channel is not far away, which is beautiful for a beautiful morning walk or jogging. I would like to highlight the nice and premature staff here. We can recommend the hotel at any time and always enjoy coming back.
