The hotel was very clean and well-designed, and we stayed in a room on level 3 with a superb view of the lake. There’s also an adorable cat roaming on level one. Service was impeccable! You are added to a group chat with the hotel staff where help is offered 24/7. We had to extend our stay by a day as we were unwell and the staff went the extra mile, offering us ginger tea and a hot water flask. Most incredibly, they even assisted us with ordering dinner which they brought to our room and then refused payment. We’ve stayed in many small boutique hotels but none with ‘butler service’ as brilliant as this hotel! We will definitely return again and again, and we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to this part of town.

Hotel was located inside shuang lang gu zhen. Location is very convenient and hotel is very clean and good design. Staff here very helpful and friendly,especially staff Xiao Hao is very nice person. Definitely will come back again with this hotel in future.

We LOVED this hotel! For those visiting Dali, I highly recommend staying on this side of the lake if you’re interested in being right on the water. We stayed on both sides and thought this old town was less commercial, more relaxing and had easy access to beautiful bike path along the lake. As for the hotel, it was simply relaxing. They built the rooms in a way that gives you an unobstructed sunset view of the lake with privacy and no distractions. The room is so spacious with a huge circular bathtub right by the balcony that overlooks the lake facing sunset. Yes, the other reviews are true that there are common space photo shoot opportunities at this hotel but we didn’t find it a nuisance at all. We are not selfie/photo shoot people and those who did take some pictures were not intrusive nor could they see us or us them from our room. Those common spaces were actually quite cozy and comfortable and at most times, empty! The breakfast and evening treats were also tasty. The service was good and I have absolutely no complaints! I would love to return for another relaxing stay. This spot exceeded our expectations!

I hesitated for a long time when booking a hotel, and finally chose Liuyue. This room meets all my requirements and imaginations for Erhai Lake. It is a wooden house on the top floor, and there is a sky outside the door, so you can enjoy it without being disturbed. Although Shuanglang Ancient Town is very lively, everything is isolated when you walk into Liuyue. Enjoying the sea view and listening to the sound of seagulls on the balcony, time flies too fast.

The handsome guy personally delivered the luggage to the hotel on the same day, saving us the trouble of dragging the luggage on the stone road.
