Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay

Decent value stay with some misses compared to my other stays in Yunnan of similar price. Pros: - Awesome view of the prayer wheel & temple from the room! - Relatively clean and well-insulated during winter. - Hotel provides pick-up service and drop-off service for luggages from the North Gate as cars cannot enter the old town. Cons: - No breakfast included - No smart home features and appliances are less fancy than my other accomms stay in Kunming & Lijiang - Need to climb up some slopes to reach the hotel as it is situated higher up. But the high location provides the awesome view. - Slopes are abit slippery sometimes especially during winter so got to becareful.

We are a family of 3 who visited Shangri La in November. This is our favourite accommodation amongst all. It is big and clean, good amenities with good view. There’s also heated flooring, humidifier and smart toilet. Our host was very kind and offered to bring our luggage down to Bei Men too. We also had some issue with our Balagezong booking and she offered to contact them for us. Do note that you can contact the hotel before travelling to bring luggage up (we didn’t know and end up lugging them up the stairs 😅). Would really highly recommend!!

I recommend this hotel. Their staff is very nice and helpful. U can ask for everything from her. The room is good and well prepared. Language is not a problem. They have applications to translate. They also have service to pick you up at the north gate...super boy will help you to carry things to the hotel.

Awesome location in which in the city centre. Awesome location which can see the 大佛寺 in the room. They will use electric tricycle to fetch you from 北门as car cannot go into the city
