Grange Bank House
4.8/549 Reviews
Once again we have had the most wonderful time staying at Grange Bank House. It really is 5++Star service, food and accommodation. Warren and Peter are absolutely fantastic hosts. It’s a home from home and we always get a lovely welcome. A particularly special welcome this time too from their new little helper Maggie who is totally adorable. The guest house has a calm atmosphere and is just the relaxing break we needed. Always spotlessly clean and tidy and your every need is catered to. The breakfast is always outstanding and sets you up nicely for the day. There are an abundance of places nearby to eat and drink the during the day and in the evenings. It’s a great base for visiting all the attractions the island has to offer and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. We highly recommend staying at this guest house and will be returning again soon.
The Clifton
4.5/550 Reviews
We stayed for 5 nights in a bay view room with outstanding views of the hotel garden and the sea beyond. We made use of the binoculars provided to watch the ships go by. We slept very well and enjoyed a generous breakfast each morning with the hot dishes freshly cooked to order. All the staff were friendly and helpful and had excellent tips for days out. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Shanklin Village where you can eat in the evening; we particularly liked The Crab for its menu and friendly staff. We would stay here again next time we visit the island.
Luccombe Manor Country House Hotel
4.3/551 Reviews
The most worth staying at a hotel on the Isle of Wight, the swimming pool is superb, the view is very good, it is close to the scenic area, including the old town of Shang Fulin and the cliff, In short, the hotel of choice next time.
Gracellie Hotel

I had a very clean bright room and a comfy single bed. Normally I dislike single beds as they are too small. One biscuit left on first day, but not repeated. However tea and milk were supplied. My problem was it was empty the hotel and in the evenings no staff around which was concerning being on my own. I had to unlock the front door at 8 p.m. after being out to dinner and walk through an empty hotel to my room. A bit unnerving as I am of the older generation. Breakfast was basic, one of each item i.e. bacon, egg, sausage etc but cooked OK. Toast, cereal and yoghurt available. Location was OK, close to the beach, but a long uphill walk to town and station. However, I managed to walk it all. Highlight was the lovely gentleman running the reception till 8 o'clock in the evening. He was always ready with a chat and it broke up the day to have someone to talk to. Would I stay again? Yes as it was a reasonable price, but maybe with a car next time.
Westbury Lodge
4.8/542 Reviews
An absolutely perfect stay at Westbury Lodge this weekend - we had the whole place booked out for 14 friends to celebrate my 40th and Rosemary and David could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the beach lift meant we had a dip in the sea before going out for the day around the island. Brilliant local pubs are a ten minute walk. All the rooms are great sizes, immaculately clean with comfy beds all round. The attention to detail was over and above what we expected. Breakfast was a particular highlight, with so much choice for a large mixed group. We will definitely be back!
Medehamstede Hotel

I came here with a coach trip, so many of us had to be accommodated at the same time but the small team at the hotel were prepared apart from at breakfast which was very slow. The hotel is dated and could do with a freshen up, it brought me back to the 80s. The staff work tirelessly between reception and the bar and will go out of their way for you. The entertainment was fun Fri-Sunday and got us up dancing especially Jules, who I loved. The hotel is located very close to all the amenities, which was fantastic. The thatched tea rooms highly recommend about 10 mins walk out to the left of the hotel. No lift if you have mobility problems so let the hotel know. Only thing I would suggest if keeping hairdryers in the rooms and toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel. Would I go back……. Absolutely yes, I had a great time
