Clean and comfortable room. Parking is very convenient. Enjoyed my stay.

It’s a good hotel (and I would certainly stay here again), but you get what you pay for. First off, the price was cheap at just over $100 per night with a continental breakfast included, free parking, and clean and comfortable accommodations. Our room was good, basic, and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also basic but clean. The pool was also clean, but it was small; three families, including ours, were using it at the same time, but that is probably the most that could use it at any one time. Breakfast was good, with lots of options, but it was cafeteria quality, which is exactly what I would hope for given the price. To summarize, it’s a good hotel. If you need a place to stay, then this is a good option, but it’s not 4 or 5 star accommodations.
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield MA

The hotel offers good value for your money with clean and soft beds. However, as breakfast starts at 6 am and ends at 10 am, the variety needs improvement, particularly in providing vegetarian and lactose-free options. It's important to consider that some guests are allergic to eggs, so alternative options should be available to accommodate different dietary needs.
MGM Springfield

We stayed at MGM Springfield in a wellness double queen room with street view. The room was beautifully designed but not comfortable. We were 3 people in one room with only one chair and a tiny table not enough to put a bottle of water on top of it. So, we couldn’t relax or sit down unless we sat on the bed which we don’t like to do with outdoor clothing. We couldn’t have dining service nor even enjoy a drink in the room because there was no table or chairs to use. In addition the closet was super tiny and barely fit 3 suits because the closet had the coffee machine on a stand inside the closet. Who puts a coffee machine inside a closet to stink up clothes not to mention you couldn’t even see inside the closet to make a cup of tea or coffee because there was no room and no light? Also there was no dresser nor chest to put clothes into. We literally had to live out of our suitcases and stand around the room. There was no exhaust fan either in the bathroom. The entire room was also pretty dark and needed more lighting. I would say this was extremely expensive for what was offered. On the upside the room was very clean. Other hotels nearby may not be luxury but neither was this one. Sad I had hoped for better.
Hilton Garden Inn Springfield, MA

I decided to stay at a Hilton hotel for the first time when I found out that I was able to obtain a virtual key to use for all areas of the hotel, and to avoid a trip to the front desk for check-in or to check out. I was planning on coming on a late train, so this would make life much easier. I did book the reservation through my credit card rewards portal so that I could prepay for the trip and to redeem points in order to save money on the trip, but it synced to the Hilton app just before the trip for check in. It asked for my credit card for incidentals, which is normal, so I put my card information in the app. The process went smoothly until I saw a pending charge to my card for roughly $458 during our stay that was later posted after we checked out. We took two water bottles from the room and charged a box of Advil from the lobby store to our room, which I’m sure did NOT cost that much. I asked the desk for a copy of my folio for the incidentals at check out, to which she was unable to provide since I booked through a third party. I understood I wouldn’t be able to receive one for the room, but I should have been able to get one for the waters and Advil. I never received any email copies or anything from Hilton. We checked in for a two night stay on the 22nd of September and left on the 24th, and I reached out to Hilton’s customer service as soon as the charge was posted to my account on the 26th, and I have not heard back from anyone since. I am absolutely discouraged that a hotel that has hair on the ceilings and peeling wallpaper in the rooms is attempting to charge me more money than what I already paid for in advance for no reason. When I called the hotel to inquire about the status of my refund, I was told that the manager was on lunch and then, as soon as they were back, I would receive a call, which still has not happened. I would have loved to continue staying with Hilton for the idea of convenience, but due to their lack of customer service, I’ll be looking elsewhere for future stays.
