Hotel Tainá - Aeroporto Cuiabá

We picked this hotel so that we would have easy access to the airport for a very early morning flight. The airport is literally across the street, a 5-minute walk away, so for that purpose the hotel is great. Our room was small, but filled its purpose. Since our flight was so early, we could not benefit from the breakfast that other travellers rave about. The good thing is that on their website, you can book a night without breakfast, which is good, if you can't have it anyway. The staff is friendly, even if English can be a slight problem at times. A few people do speak English, but the ones who don't tried to help us the best they could as I tried to communicate in pidgin-Portuguese.

I was a bit dirty, he had a worn mask and a bottle of empty water was thrown on the floor... and nothing was done... at the time we were hosted... the manager wasn't at the hotel. The reception only said that if I wanted I had to wait for the manager to make a complaint. Inadmissible in pandemic times the hotel had no cleaning at least reasonable. Breakfast had to be asking for replacing. The garage is far from the hotel and the manufacturers bring the vehicle and sweat the whole interior with dirt that looks like construction.

It is a pity that a hotel so well known in Cuiabá has failed to provide services, with information unconscious by the staff and a lack of respect in solving problems. All this could be avoided with a clearer and more organised check-in process. I check in at Hotel Taiaman on day 22/08/24 and, during the information and filling process of my stay, I was never informed that the hotel's parking was paid. This unpleasant discovery happened only today, at the end of my check-out, when I was surprised with a fee of R$80,00 for the four days I was there. In the face of this, I asked to speak to the manager to express my indignation for the lack of clarity in the information. When he arrived, he claimed that it was written on a plate – a small plate, placed on a table that is not visible. I explained that I would not pay for something that was not clearly reported, and, for my surprise, the manager simply gave me the back and went out. I do not know whether this is the proper position of a manager to resolve conflicts, but I admit that I was extremely annoyed with such a attitude. What is missing is a clear communication to avoid such constraints.

Was in Cuiaba for one night prior to going to the Pantanal. Excellent hotel, the huge lobby and restaurant are impressive. Its across from a large super market, you do have to walk a bit to cross the highway. Definitely would recommend. Its a bit further away from the airport not really an issue.

We stay in room 711, in front of the street. Great room with Queen bed. 2 travessers, just that they were with unpleasant smell. The lower shirt as not elastic, goes out of the place when I woke up was straight on the bedroom. The hotel has a restaurant, but as Saturday was, the service is only from 18:00 to 19:30. We have dinner in it. We asked for two dishes, because they were individuals. “Grill-sweet coat” and “strogonoff of filet”. The coat-sweet was not a grill, it looked more like tomato extract. But the coat was tasty. The Strogonoff was good. The hotel has no soundproof, it hears many noises, even from the street. It prefers the back rooms.

I spent 1 week at the hotel at work. The hotel is reasonable, the rooms seem old, mainly in the bathroom lack maintenance. The shower was wet all except those who took bath, well disregulated, had no way to take bath or wash their hair. The hotel was cleaning and the hotel was good, but the breakfast was excellent, but every day I passed there was the same thing, should change. The outside noise was great, almost all night heard cars and motorcycles running because the hotel is in a mega-avenue moving. The inner noise tbm was bothered, I don't know whether guests or staff were. I don't know if I would be home again!
