Calming My Mind and Praying at Kechara Forest Retreat
#traveldiaries
Kechara Forest Retreat is a special place for anyone seeking peace and calm. When I arrived, I could immediately feel the quiet atmosphere. The air was fresh, and the greenery all around made me feel relaxed. The peaceful surroundings helped me forget about the stress of daily life.
One of the best ways to calm my mind was by sitting quietly and focusing on my breathing. I found a comfortable spot, surrounded by trees and nature, and just allowed my thoughts to slow down. The sounds of birds and the gentle rustling of leaves were like nature’s music, helping me feel more peaceful.
Praying at the retreat was a meaningful experience. There was a beautiful space dedicated to prayer and meditation. I took time to offer my prayers, reflecting on the things I am grateful for and asking for strength and guidance. The act of praying helped me feel connected to something greater than myself, bringing me a sense of peace and comfort.

The Hidden Gem: Dua Karak River Waterfall
#waterfalls #100waysoftravel
RM10 to enter. Very nice chilled out place. Beautiful fresh waterfall. Water looked a bit brown, but when I went in it seemed clean enough. Others were enjoying the nature and water too.
Please keep the waterfall clean and do not litter. The campers shall be careful to watch out the water level even it look calm. The area is remote and far from main road. You have to go through durian farm, rubber trees and orang asli village before arriving.

Bentong Amazing Street Food
#familytrips2024
Bentong has some amazing street food that brings back so many memories for me. One of my absolute favorites is the traditional crispy peanut pancakes sold by this uncle who’s been at it for years. Every bite takes me right back to my childhood.
Then there's the fried noodles with cockles. They’re super fragrant, thanks to that awesome wok hei flavor that you can only get from a really hot wok. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
And we can't forget about the famous Malay Lemang Toki. It's sticky rice cooked in bamboo, and it’s absolutely delicious. Each of these dishes has its own special place in my heart and is a must-try if you're ever in Bentong.

Fun Activities at The Bentong Farm
#familytrips2024
Our family had a great time at this place! It's seriously gorgeous here. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by these fake durian trees loaded with durians. And then there's this massive Bentong Ginger statue perfect for some Insta-worthy pics. The animals? Total sweethearts. And the staff? They're amazing, super friendly, and know their stuff about the animals. The whole place is laid out really well, and it's spotless too. Ah, reminiscing about those good ol' days running wild and free at grandma's farm brings back a flood of memories. The smell of freshly cut grass and the warmth of the sun on our skin—it was pure magic. Those were the days, filled with laughter, adventure, and the simple joys of childhood.

Lou Kok Roasted Delights Bentong
#familytrips2024
You gotta check out this spot! They've got killer roast duck, char siew noodles, braised pork intestine, chicken rice, and more. Seriously, so many options to pick from. And let me tell you, that roast duck is top-notch—I haven't had any that good in ages. It's an old-school joint, with that classic open-air vibe. The staff are super friendly and on the ball. Despite the quality and the vibes, the prices are totally wallet-friendly. It's a steal for the deliciousness you're getting. Plus, being right next to our hotel in Bentong city, it's the ultimate convenience. It's like our own little food paradise just steps away!

Paradise Dynasty @ SkyAvenue Genting Highlands
#familytrips2024
Paradise Dynasty up in Genting Highlands is like a gem nestled near the main atrium of Sky Avenue. You can't really miss it. If you're craving some Chinese cuisine, this is the spot to hit up, especially if you're a fan of xiaolongbao, those delightful dumplings.
The joint's got a decent amount of tables, and the staff up front are super helpful, so you won't be wandering around clueless. As for the grub, you gotta try their pork chop fried rice, chicken soup noodles, xiao long bao (of course), crispy pastry, and top it off with their mango dessert. Trust me, every bite's a flavor explosion.
Plus, the crew here are some of the friendliest folks around, and they're on top of their game with service. Definitely worth a visit if you're around.

In Starbucks, it is always more than just a cup of coffee but they are also offering a comfortable ambience for their customers who will spend long time there to chit chat or work!!
This Starbucks that located in front of the Highland Hotel is just the same but you can also enjoy a chill weather even you are sitting outdoor since the temperature in Genting Highland is always range from 16 - 24 degrees!!
Highly recommend you to visit here after gambling in Casino during night time as this cafe opens 24 hours and I believe this is almost the only lively place after casino at this hour😆

Genting Xiao Long Bao time 🥪🥯
#malaysiatrip
Here I am to visit the Paradise Dynasty again but this time would be the branch that located in Sky Avenue, Genting Highland. As usual, their services are phenomenal and the dining ambience is confortable yet the food waiting time is short!!
If you are coming here, I would recommend you to order the fried rice rather than mee as the taste of it is not as good as the one in TRX, Kuala Lumpur. However, the fried rice is YUMMY!!

The picnic supposed to take place at the resort garden but due to bad weather condition, they had to move the picnic in a room. Me and my friends enjoyed the picnic by the resort!

experience picking own strawberries
#malaysia
A must stop if you go to Genting Highland. Reasonable entrance fee. The farm is big and Flower wise there are a few varieties and only that few varieties in the whole farm.
If you decided to pluck strawberry, the price I was qoute was 80/kg. They sold packed strawberry too but I’m not sure if they are from their own farm or not.The strawberries are quite small although they are red and taste a bit sour.
They also sell honey, lavender made stuff like lotion, perfume, air freshener etc. there’s a cafe and many other stalls along the way near the end of the exit.
Ticket price is RM20 for adult and 15 for kids, and this is only for seeing the flowers. If you want anything extra like picking strawberry need to pay separately. as mention it RM80/Kg

Perfect Spot for Nature Lovers
Gunung Rajah has a height of 5526 feet above sea level and is the best mountain for hiking. Before starting the hike, you will find a popular waterfall in the Bentong area.
For your information, if you want to climb Mount Rajah, you must have an entry permit to avoid any problems. To get a permit you can apply from the Bentong District Forest Office by writing an application letter.
The best time to get an amazing view is to be at the top in the morning. The path to start the hike here is rocky and flat, so it won't be tiring.

Beautiful resort in the nature, Fifty4Fern
This is a place where you can have it all if you’re a family with little kids. From river-based activities, indoor games, swimming pool (they have kids pool), petting farm and fish ponds where your kids can enjoy getting close with the animals. Also not to mentioned other activities that’s suitable for adults (ATV rides, jungle trekking, etc.). The view of the resort and how the resort is setup is magnificent, down to the little details of how the lawn is upkeep. Went there before we’re going to another resort which is more on the higher side in term of price, never thought that Fifty4Ferns was the highlight of our whole vacation. Will definitely come again.
Very highly recommended if you need to take time off and relax. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, they had insect screens at the door. The place was done up beautifully with ponds and plants to invoke a sense of calmness. They also had indoor board games if visitors fancy playing some. The rooms come in different sizes to accommodate couples, families and they even have team building packages. Internet reception is poor so this place isn't for you if you are glued to your phone. Breakfast food was basic but delicious, don't expect a spread like 5-star hotels. Their sambal was really good. Overall was very enjoyable experience and we plan to come again with family.

Kimono Adventure
Had an amazing day in Pahang's Japanese Village with my bffs. We got to wear traditional kimonos for the first time. The shop owner was super nice. She helped us pick out our kimonos and dressed us up. We felt like we were in Japan! The traditional wooden houses, serene gardens, and peaceful ponds created an atmosphere that made us forgrt we are in Malaysia. We explored the village, took lots of photos and had a blast. When our hour for the kimonos rental was up, we reluctantly returned to the shop. To our surprise, the owner didnt charge us extra for exceeding our time. Her kindness really touched our hearts.
