Experience the charm and taste of French cognac

On December 18, 2024, the 15th anniversary party of the Cognac Geographical Indication Certification in China was successfully held in Beijing. The event was hosted by the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac (BNIC), and gathered wine and spirits experts, media representatives, and various institutions to commemorate this important moment. The event was very ceremonial. After signing in, guests wore custom-made aroma stone bracelets inlaid with the cognac logo and "15th anniversary" logo, and drank a cognac cocktail "La Flamme" (the same welcome drink as the 2024 Paris Olympics) to kick off the event. The dinner party opened with a bang, and cognac certified lecturer Li Siwei introduced the history, production process, and art of cognac and wine pairing. Mr. Christian Gianella, Minister Counselor of the Economic Department of the French Embassy in China, offered his best wishes, and Mr. Florent Morillon, President of the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac, also expressed the importance of the 15th anniversary celebration of cognac through a video. As a symbol of safety and excellence in the protection of origin, cognac is a model of the unique terroir and craftsmanship, and a beautiful vision of the cultural heritage of the two countries. The environment and layout of the Flo restaurant complemented the style of the French cognac brand. The lecturer's PPT was very professional, and I learned a lot about wine. I had an immersive experience of the food paired with cognac and wine. The chilled VSOP complemented the cold-cut salmon, the VSOP paired with the duck confit complemented each other, and the XO paired with the slow-cooked beef and chocolate dessert was very classic. The food was very well matched. With the 15th anniversary celebration and the lucky draw, the enthusiasm and anticipation of the guests were pushed to a climax. The brilliant beams of light bloomed, symbolizing the spirit of "Yi" and heralding the prosperous development of cognac in the future.
