Antonine Baths, Tunisia

The Antonine Baths, located in the ancient city of Carthage in Tunisia, were one of the largest public baths in North Africa during the Roman Empire, built in the second half of the 2nd century AD. The baths, covering an area of about 4 hectares, were built along the Mediterranean Sea and were famous for their magnificent architecture and exquisite decoration. They were divided into cold, warm, and hot water rooms, and were equipped with changing rooms, sports fields, and other facilities, showcasing the Romans' superb architectural skills and luxurious lifestyle. Although most of the existing ruins are underground foundations, their scale and design are still breathtaking. The Antonine Baths are an important historical and cultural site in Tunisia and are now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
