Hohhot | Dazhao Temple | A Buddhist Treasure

Dazhao Temple is a cultural treasure of Hohhot and Inner Mongolia, and a sacred place of Tibetan Buddhism. It is a place of many stories and legends. If you visit in December, it is perfect if it snows. Unfortunately, it didn't snow when I visited. If you visit when it snows, it is even more beautiful. Here are some travel tips: 🚉Transportation: Dazhao Temple is located on Dazhao Front Street, Yuquan District, Hohhot. You can take bus 58, 59, 6, or K3 to Dazhao Station, and walk 145 meters to the temple. ✅Recommended attractions: Visit the Mahavira Hall, admire the hollow iron lion, learn about Tibetan Buddhist culture and history, and see the murals and artworks in the temple. ❤Recommended visit time: 2–3 hours ❤Recommended accommodation: There are hotels within 1 km, with standard rooms starting at CNY 100. ❤Parking: Guanyin Temple Parking Lot ❤Opening hours: 24/7 ❤Ticket price: Tickets are CNY 30–35, and student tickets are CNY 18. ❤Notes: 1. Respect religious etiquette, dress appropriately, and do not wear shorts or revealing clothing. 2. Follow the temple rules, do not make noise, and do not take photos, especially in places where it is prohibited. 3. Keep the environment clean, and do not litter in the temple.
