2024 Memoir - Huizhou West Lake

On a warm winter day, I stepped into Huizhou West Lake. The fresh air, tinged with a hint of coldness, instantly surrounded me. As I strolled along the lakeside, the lake shimmered under the gentle sunlight, and the distant rolling hills seemed to be meticulously carved by nature, resembling a natural ink painting. The bridges of West Lake come in various shapes and sizes, some delicate and exquisite, others grand and imposing. The willow trees by the bridge, though no longer green, swayed gently in the cold wind, as if telling stories of the past. Standing on the bridge and gazing into the distance, the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains unfolded before my eyes. There are several small islands in the center of the lake, shaded by lush trees. Occasionally, birds flew across the sky, adding a touch of liveliness to the tranquil winter day. In the pavilions by the lake, people sat leisurely, chatting and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. In winter, Huizhou West Lake loses the hustle and bustle of summer and gains a sense of tranquility and peace. Here, I felt the magical charm of nature and experienced the unique charm of this city. This winter trip left a deep impression on me and made me love Huizhou West Lake even more.
