Beauty in the drizzle - Itoshima day trip

There’s really no lack of things to do in Itoshima. A couple of friends drove me there for the magnificence that was #raizansennyojitaihioin. It was a rainy day but that only added to the enchantment of the picturesque temple. Lots of people came for the momiji so there was a bit of a queue on the road up the mountain. Not bad but do be prepared as you may have to wait for up to 35 minutes. We then went for grilled oysters and seafood in one of the seasonal oyster huts that are only open from autumn through spring. You can bring your own drinks so stock up before you set off. The oysters were so fresh and juicy! Easily some of the best I’ve had.
