On the banks of the Lancang River

It's my first time coming to Xishuangbanna, staying at a hotel in Gaozhuang, with my room right by the Lancang River. In the evening, taking a walk by the river, the sunlight is still splendid. I had only heard that once the Lancang River reaches foreign lands, it's called the Mekong River, and I imagined it to be a grand river. Only upon arriving here did I realize that the Lancang River isn't too wide, but the current is quite rapid. I don't know what trees are on the riverbank, but they are blooming with huge flowers and emit a faint fragrance.
