In the old samurai district, we walked narrow streets lined with wooden houses, imagining the lives that once filled them. Kanazawa Castle stood proud nearby, its white walls gleaming against the sky as we explored the grounds and admired the intricate wooden interiors. Before leaving, we treated ourselves to desserts topped with Kanazawa’s famous gold leaf—a little touch of luxury that made the day even more unforgettable.
