The beauty of the Momiji Tunnel made me buy a one-day pass for the Eizan Electric Railway

The Eizan Electric Railway has a line to Kurama Station, and a line to Yase-Hieizanguchi Station, which is convenient for traveling to northern Kyoto. The famous Momiji Tunnel is located between Ichihara Station and Ninose Station on the Kurama Line. Since I planned to visit several places along the Eizan Electric Railway, I decided to buy a one-day pass. Each ride on the Eizan Electric Railway costs between JPY 220 and JPY 480, while a one-day pass costs JPY 1,200. You can choose according to your itinerary. If you only plan to take the train twice, you don't need to buy a one-day pass. Note that one-day passes are only available at Demachiyanagi Station, Shugakuin Station, and Kurama Station. You can also buy a one-day pass online. I bought mine online in advance, and when I arrived, I showed the QR code to the staff to exchange for a paper ticket. I found that buying a ticket on-site was also very convenient. After visiting Kibune, I was lucky enough to take the Kirara train, which has panoramic windows and 8 seats facing the windows. I first took the train to Ninose Station and got off to take photos of the tracks and platform. The Kibune and Ninose platforms are very beautiful during the fall foliage season. Fifteen minutes later, I took the next train from Ninose Station through the Momiji Tunnel to Ichihara Station, and then continued to Takaragaike Station to transfer to the Eizan Main Line to my next destination. I chose to take photos of the Momiji Tunnel from the back of the train. Although it is not very long, only about 200 meters, it is really beautiful. I personally prefer the fall foliage during the day to at night.
