If you want to visit Banff, I recommend going after mid-November. Not only are prices much cheaper, but the snowy scenery is also like a fairy tale. ❄️ Banff is very cold in winter, usually below zero. In November, the daytime temperature is slightly higher, but still only in the single digits. In mid-winter, the temperature drops to below -20°C, and several famous lakes freeze over, turning the lake surface into a huge ice park. Some frozen lakes even have frozen bubble lakes, which are super dreamy. 🚗 Traveling to Banff in winter is a big test of your driving skills. If you have no experience driving on ice and snow, I suggest you don't drive yourself. It's better to hire an experienced driver. Even if you have a lot of driving experience, you need to change to snow tires. ⛲️ Banff has many tourist attractions besides Banff Town. Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, and Sulphur Mountain are all great. Lake Louise is especially worth visiting. The lake surface is completely frozen, and there are many ice and snow activities on the lake, as well as ice sculpture exhibitions. 🏨 I highly recommend the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
