I've bookmarked it for a while and finally got to try it 🤤 Baji 26 Tempura Izakaya is a popular small shop on Waterloo Road in Mong Kok, specializing in tempura at affordable prices✨. Usually, there's a line at night, so I chose to go during the day~ It was still quite crowded 😂 but luckily, no need to wait. The shop has two floors, with bar seating downstairs and tatami seating upstairs. Besides tempura, they also offer other Japanese dishes 🇯🇵. Seafood Tempura Rice Bowl 🥢 includes black tiger shrimp, scallops, anago fish, crab sticks, hon-shimeji mushrooms, seaweed, and green beans. Super rich‼️ I thought the black tiger shrimp was already satisfying, but the anago fish was also amazing, super bouncy, and the fish flavor was prominent 🐟. Additionally, the hon-shimeji mushrooms and green beans were also delicious. Their tempura batter is really commendable, thin and crispy, and the sauce was well-made. Next time, I'll try their most popular fresh scallop and lobster rice bowl 🦞, which was sold out that day 🤧. Pork Cutlet with Egg Rice Bowl 🥢 $68 is really a great deal 🥹. A big bowl with thick and large pork cutlets, tender and not tough, with a perfect balance of salty and sweet sauce, combined with egg and onions, super satisfying. Chicken Skin Dumplings 🥢 5 pieces per serving 🥟 made with chicken skin as the outer layer, especially fragrant, crispy with a chewy texture, and the filling is also plentiful. Sesame Chicken Wings 🥢 with a crispy outer skin 🐔 and juicy inside, overall very tasty. A must-order for those who love fried food.
