Tired of Bali’s bustling crowds, my friends and I decided to explore Lombok, Indonesia—a lesser-known paradise with untouched beauty and serene beaches. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. Day 1: Beach Vibes at Senggigi Our adventure began at Senggigi Beach, where we lounged under the sun, sipping fresh coconut water. As dusk approached, we enjoyed a beachfront seafood dinner, watching the sky transform into brilliant shades of orange and pink. Day 2: Conquering Mount Rinjani For a taste of adventure, we hiked Mount Rinjani. While we didn’t reach the summit, the panoramic views from our halfway point were breathtaking. The trek was challenging but rewarding, with lush landscapes stretching as far as the eye could see. A short hike led us to Tiu Kelep and Sendang Gile. Cooling off under these cascading waters was pure bliss—nature’s very own spa experience. Day 5: Surfing at Kuta Lombok Our final day was spent exploring Kuta Lombok. We rented scooters and hit up Mawun Beach and Tanjung Aan, where we caught some beginner-friendly waves. Even if you’re not into surfing, the beaches are a must-visit for their stunning scenery.
