As a mature tourist city, there are too many guides, so here are some tips for tourists. 🔹It's already very cold at the end of December. As a person from the northeast (Liaoning) who is most afraid of the cold, I feel that the combination of coat and sweater is not enough at night. 🔹Laomendong is more beautiful than Confucius Temple, quieter, and the shops are more aesthetic. Hidden in the flower shop, Shiwangfu is a secluded place with delicious food and good service, and it is not too expensive. 🔹To experience the fireworks, you can go to Houzaimen Market, where any small shop's old duck vermicelli/pot stickers/fermented rice balls are delicious. 🔹Zhongshan Scenic Area is too big (Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Meiling Palace, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Wutong Avenue, Linggu Temple, Music Stage). If you want to visit all of them, you need to leave at least one day. We only visited Meiling Palace and Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum this time, and it took more than 2.5 hours. 🔹The leaves on Wutong Avenue have almost fallen, and the atmosphere is still good, but the photos are a bit miserable, so be prepared. 🔹It is particularly difficult to take a taxi in Zhongshan Scenic Area, and the order will be passively canceled, and it is not certain which road will be temporarily closed, so leave enough time. 🔹Yihe Road is also beautiful at night, with a vague beauty that reveals a unique beauty, and you can always believe in the Republic of China era. 🔹The city wall is worth a visit. Look north to Xuanwu Lake and south to Jiming Temple. Why is my mind full of "The Ming Dynasty Under the Microscope"? Jiming Temple and Jiefangmen City Wall can be visited together, as they are next to each other. 🔹Nanjing Museum is easy to book in the off-season and is worth a visit. 1.5 hours is only enough to visit the History Museum. The recent internet-famous pink stove is not here. 🔹Avoid the Little Chef at Xuanwu Lake, the vegetables are all rotten leaves, and I found a hair after two bites, which made me sick. I can barely accept fly restaurants or home-cooked restaurants, but I can't accept such a big chain being so dirty. 🔹If you take a train at Nanjing South Railway Station, if the ticket gate is a large number, it is close to the South Square. 🔹There are concentrated pick-up and drop-off points for online car-hailing. If the destination is particularly congested, you can change the location accordingly, and walking a few more steps may be faster than taking a car.
