Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Manhattan/Downtown East

We stayed at this hotel for a few days for sightseeing and attending events, and it was perfect for the occasion. The surrounding environment wasn't the best, and the area had an unpleasant smell, but the proximity to the subway (F and A/J lines) and the affordable price made up for it. Anyway, we were only there to sleep. The room was nice and clean, with a large shower and a big bed. Everything in the room worked as expected. Given the budget location, the self-serve breakfast was standard for Fairfield Inns, and coffee and tea were available all day. They rotated the hot breakfast with different varieties. The staff was friendly and helpful.
