Must-visit National Palace of Pena in Sintra Portugal

We went to the palace without ticket. Since it was in summer, there were lots of people. We can buy ticket from the ticket machines and pay with card. The only ticket available at that time was for 5pm. While the palace is closed at 6.30pm we still had time and good thing it was less crowded than previous hours. There is shuttle bus to go up the palace. Important: Since there was no more shuttle bus after 6pm to get down, we need to walk but we got lost since there are no guidance or signs to exit, and some doors were closed already! And so we were trapped in the hill teying to find door that was still open.
