December 7, 2024: Qiuxia Garden

On December 7, I went to Qiuxia Garden, one of the five classical gardens in Shanghai, along with Yuyuan Garden, Guyi Garden, Zuibaichi Park, and Qu Shui Garden. Qiuxia Garden was originally three separate gardens: Gong's Garden, Jin's Garden, and Shen Hongzheng's Garden. Qiuxia Garden is famous for its rockeries, ponds, and winding paths. Upon entering Qiuxia Garden, the first thing you see is the City God Temple, a Taoist temple. I always pray when I see a temple. After passing through the City God Temple, you will reach the area centered around Peach Blossom Pool, which includes the Celestial Cave, Wanxiang Residence, Shequ Bridge, Biwu Pavilion, and Peach Blossom Pool. The center is a red maple tree, which is beautiful. I love red, and I couldn't bear to delete any of the photos I took. Many people lingered here to take photos. There is also a 1,200-year-old ginkgo tree that is starting to turn yellow. Now is the best time to visit. If it rains, the scenery will be less beautiful, so hurry up and visit. The park is not large, and the main attractions are the ginkgo and maple trees. Tickets: CNY 10, only available at the ticket office. Parking: CNY 7 for the first hour, CNY 4 for each additional hour. The parking lot is on Bole Road, I think. There is only one exit.
