Lesser-known hiking route - Shengzhou Genglou Ancient Path

Hey guys, today I want to recommend a super niche and super interesting hiking route - Shengzhou Genglou Ancient Path! 📍Location: Shengzhou, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, a hidden gem! 🗺 Itinerary: 🔵 Depart from Shanghai > Changle Temple > Huang Teapot > Qianjialing > Ya'an Post > Fangyou Bridge > Guimen > Nanshan Reservoir > Lumen Academy > Changle Temple Hiking distance: 13.3 km Hiking time: 4 hours 30 minutes Total ascent: 418 meters Two steps: Uncle Ning's Genglou Ancient Path Loop Self-driving parking: Changle Temple Supply point: Supplies can be replenished in the villages along the way. It is recommended to bring your own water and food. 🏞 Recommended attractions: Set off early in the morning, along the winding mountain road, and step into the traces of history. Genglou Ancient Path, the name sounds ancient, and there are currently few people walking on it. You will often meet villagers digging winter bamboo shoots in the forest. 🌳Scenery along the way? Although it is not magnificent, it is full of wildness, and it is very pleasant to walk through the forest trails. There is a 300-year-old ginkgo tree in the village next to Ya'an Post, which is very photogenic! This loop unfortunately missed the gorgeous metasequoia forest in Guimen Reservoir (Tip: If you want to see the metasequoia, you have to detour about 4 km. Remember to check the route, don't miss it like I did!), but every village you encounter around the corner is like a paradise, quiet and beautiful. 👩‍🌾The most touching thing is the hospitable villagers. Their smiles are warmer than the sun, as if we are old friends, and they enthusiastically share their home-grown oranges and sweet potatoes.
