Amazing northen lights with adorable ice

#newyearnewtrip First of all, thanks a lot to Trip.com to show up this amazing location to us. We booked a New Years package with Lapland Welcome at the last minute. I hadn't seen many reviews so wasn't sure what to expect. Our week consisted of organised daily tours i.e. Reindeer Safari, Husky Driving, Snowmobile Driving, visits to Ranua Zoo, Santa Claus Village, Artikumn Museum, Ice Fishing, Snow Shoe Treks and New Years Eve searching for the Northern Lights. The guides were always friendly, knowledgable and on time. 90% of the time we were in the small group of 10 on the New Year Package and all staying in cabins at Sonkamokit. We had a fantastic time with our two teenagers, the location of the cabins so beautiful and peaceful. All meals were included and varied daily, not 5 star but filling. Do beware though that Finns love there sausages and will serve them to you at every opportunity!
