[Kazbegi, Georgia] The church closest to heaven in the world⛪️

It takes about 3.5 hours to go north from Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, by shared bus or marshrutka. The church is located in Kazbegi, about 10km from the border with Russia. Kazbegi is the name of the area, and the name of the village where tourists stay is Stepantsminda. Because it is a mountainous area at an altitude of about 1,700m, it is cool even in midsummer, and the weather is unstable, so weather forecasts are unreliable. When visiting, don't forget to bring a removable jacket and rain gear. You can get from Stepantsminda to Gergeti Trinity Church by taxi, but if you want to fully enjoy the rich natural beauty, hiking is recommended! It took about 1.5 hours one way, and I was able to climb even in my familiar sneakers. *The route from the church to Mount Kazbegi, which is about 5,000m above sea level, is a full-fledged mountain climbing course. The mountain was so beautiful, like a carpet of green, and the view of the church after a hard day was also amazing. Mt.
