A school comparable to Tsinghua University and Peking University

Wuyi Mountain is home to a school of sages, which was like Tsinghua University and Peking University in ancient times. It was a holy place that all scholars dreamed of, and that is Wuyi Jingshe. Wuyi Jingshe is located by the Jiuqu Stream, under the Yinping Peak. It is a family temple-style house with a mixed structure of bricks, tiles, and wood, built by Zhu Xi, a great Confucian scholar of Neo-Confucianism, in the 10th year of the Chunxi period of the Song Dynasty (1183). At that time, it was known as the "Great View of Wuyi" by the world. When the academy was completed, Zhu Xi wrote "Twelve Poems of Jingshe" with joy. Wuyi Jingshe is another way to open Wuyi Mountain and a unique window to look back at the imperial examination.
