I'm a student on a budget, but the InterContinental Xi'an High-tech Zone was so comfortable.

InterContinental Xi'an High-tech Zone | A touch of green in Chang'an || In Xi'an, you can feel the city's rich history: sunlight filtering through towering trees, ancient buildings standing quietly amidst the hustle and bustle. Xi'an is also incredibly friendly. Under the city walls, old men play ping pong, and in the distance, in ordinary streets and lanes, people are buying groceries, riding bikes, and sunbathing. After wandering around, I returned to the hotel. This InterContinental feels very much in tune with the character of Xi'an: it has a dignified spirit and a friendly feel. ◾️Layout The layout of this hotel handles the scale relationship between people and space very well. It divides the large, open space into several relatively small "blocks", each of which is independent but interconnected, making it feel comfortable and relaxed. (But the lights are too bright at night, it would be more relaxing if they were a bit dimmer.) ◾️Design language I've always felt that CCD's designs are neither good nor bad, they're exquisite and correct but lack soul. But I really like the design of this hotel, it's like a high-end custom dress, simple and neat, restrained but exquisitely crafted, you can see the thought and effort that went into it. ◾️Texture The black, white, and gray base tones are classic enough, with copper-colored metal accents, especially the green lacquered partition doors interspersed throughout, creating a memorable look. Smooth and rough textures complement each other. The shape and fabric of the soft furnishings exude a sense of quality, they're very full and dense. ◾️Service I stayed at two InterContinental hotels in Xi'an, and the service at the High-tech Zone was better. Whether I was drinking tea, eating breakfast, or waiting for the elevator, I could feel the sincerity of the hotel staff. ◾️Shortcomings The lobby design is wonderful, but the guest rooms are quite standard, lacking highlights. The guest rooms on the south side are too close to the opposite office building, lacking a view and a bit of privacy, so you need to lower the Roman blinds.
