Furong Town on the Waterfall

On the way from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang Ancient Town, you will pass by Furong Town. At first, I didn't plan to visit this place, but my colleague told me about the movie by Jiang Wen, and I became interested. I read some travel guides online, which said that this place is like a "three-no" product, a scenic spot with no management, no service, and crowded with people. After I arrived, I found that the description was exaggerated, but the beauty of the place was not as good as its reputation. 1. You don't need to spend too much time in Furong Town. Half a day is enough. After you get off the highway, you will soon arrive at Furong Town (not the scenic area). You can find a place to eat and rest to replenish your energy. There is still some distance to the Furong Town Scenic Area. After you leave Furong Town, you can follow Furong Road to the Furong Town Scenic Area. You can find a place to park near the entrance of the scenic area. We didn't find a parking space, but there were people on the roadside offering parking services. You can ask for the price first. 2. The scenic area is small, and the ticket price is CNY 108. The shops inside are now highly commercialized, no different from other ancient towns in China. If you mind, you need to think twice. However, there are almost no other places to go if you don't buy a ticket. In contrast, Langya Mountain, a 5A scenic area in Chuzhou, is free and has a high cost-performance ratio. 3. The management in the scenic area is relatively chaotic. After parking on the street, we were stopped by security guards to buy tickets after walking a few steps. There are especially few toilets, and many are broken. You need to plan your route reasonably, drink less water, and go to the toilet as soon as you see one. The passages and stairs are very narrow, and there is no safety guidance. 4. You need to bargain for things in the scenic area. If you don't have to buy something, don't be a big fool. In addition, if you are a fan of the movie, I suggest you don't eat the local snacks.
