Zhuji Wuxie

Zhuji Wuxie Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Zhuji, Shaoxing, 20 kilometers away from Zhuji city center, covering an area of 50 square kilometers. It is an ancient tourist destination in Zhejiang Province and a famous ecological tourism area in Jiangnan. The beautiful Huanjiang Wuxie Scenic Area is natural and picturesque, with high peaks above, waterfalls in the middle, and streams below. The dense forest shades the secluded valleys, with light mist swirling around, faint fragrance floating, and green trees covering the mountains. The dappled light and shadow under the dense shade resemble a vivid landscape painting. The term 'Xie' means waterfall. The waterfall cascades down from the steep cliffs at the top of Wuxie Mountain, breaking into five levels, collectively known as 'Wuxie Stream'. It is said to be the former residence of Xishi. The strange peaks and rocks on both sides of the stream compete in beauty, with '72 peaks, 36 caves, and 25 cliffs', boasting the beauty of cliffs and flying waterfalls. The scenery of Wuxie is famous for its beautiful green mountains and cascading waterfalls. Wuxie Scenic Area is a national forest park, mainly composed of four scenic areas: Wuxie Lake, Taoyuan, Dongyuan, and Xiyuan Canyons.
