Probably the best homemade ice cream in Hoi An
This tiny place is an absolute gem! There is just a couple of tables, and the owner - a sweet lady who was sort of shy, but so so pleasant!
Ice cream was rich and delicious, it's really felt like they use fresh fruits and not just artificial flavoring. Plus, Delete brought us some local drink - like a cold, herbal tea that I'm not sure what it was, but it was nice to wash away the witness of ice cream before we left.

MUST VISIT CAFE AMIDST PADDY FIELD IN HOI AN

Roving Chillhouse in Hoi An - we had a truly mind-blowing experience at this cafe which is nestled right in the middle of expansive paddy fields with buffalos wandering by and people relaxing around.
Service was fast but it wasn't at all about the food but the serene, peaceful atmosphere that made it unforgettable, like being immersed in nature's calmness.

【Must-see attractions】
Attraction name + introduction: Ba Na Hills
A famous attraction in Da Nang is the longest cable car in the world. As the cable car goes up, you can enjoy the scenery of Da Nang, the Golden Buddha's Hand Bridge and the French Village.
After boarding the cable car, you will go directly to the French Village at the top, one of the most popular destinations in Ba Na Hills, with landmarks such as squares, churches, old villages and hotels, as well as restaurants and amusement parks.
Then we came to the most popular Golden Buddha's Hand Bridge. There were so many people that it was difficult to take photos of the aerial view. We all took photos with passers-by. After walking across the bridge, there was a small area next to it that was less crowded. From there, we could get close to the Buddha's Hand Bridge. Take a photo.
Price: Tickets + cable car are about $1,000. It is recommended that you buy tickets online to avoid the crowds of people queuing up to buy tickets on site.
【Must-eat food】
1. Restaurant + must-try dishes: Thìa Gỗ
I ordered beef rice noodles, fried spring rolls and pancakes. The rice noodles soup is sweet and not salty. The fried spring rolls are crispy and not greasy. The pancakes are super big. They are wrapped with rice paper, lettuce and sauce. They taste delicious. The crispy flavor of the pie crust also has the sweetness of the lettuce, and the filling inside the pie tastes very rich.
2. Restaurant + must-try dishes: Ăn Thôi Restaurant
Located next to the Han Market, there were still a lot of people at 3pm. The decoration was very cute. I ordered pineapple fried rice, beef pho, stir-fried water spinach, pancakes and fried spring rolls. The pineapple fried rice actually came with scary three-color vegetables! ! ! But fortunately, after picking them out, they are delicious. The fried water spinach feels a bit unpleasant and too salty, but the other flavors are pretty good.
3. Restaurant + must-try dish: Bánh Mì Phượng French bread
Located near the ancient town of Hoi An, there are many people queuing up. The French bread is very crispy, and with the meat and eggs inside, it tastes very good.
【Accommodation recommendation】
Hotel name: voco Ma Belle Danang, an IHG Hotel
Hotel address: 168 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Street, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng
It is located near My Khe Beach. I booked a triple room for three people. I found it difficult to sleep on the bunk beds because the bed was very small and the quilt was very small. Later, I asked the housekeeping staff to give me a large quilt, but the big bed Just slept well. There is an infinity swimming pool, so you can enjoy the sea view while soaking in the water.
Price: Three people stay for two nights (Saturday and Sunday), about $11,000.
🇻🇳 Sunset on Hoi An River
#bestsunset #100WaysOfTravel
It is an awesome boat ride from the Lantern Park at Hoi An Old Market towards Hoi A Memories Land. The meeting time was 5.30pm and the sunset timing in September is abut 5.40pm which is much earlier than our Singapore timing. As the sun set earlier in Hoi An, the lights also switch on early and the entire park is illuminated. But as you sail on the boat, you still can see the sun is setting and it sets quite fast too. There are also man floating lanterns and the sunset also cast its reflections onto the river, creating a lovely vibe to sail down the river in Hoi An.

🇻🇳 Spa at Allegro Hoi An
#spas #100WaysOfTravel
This is a very beautiful hotel and I am so glad I am here. I enjoy their spa service and now I have come back to try again. This is a lovely hotel in Hoi An, Da Nang and they have one of the nicest spa here. I cannot take much photos here because it is a quiet place and there are signs of no photos allowed too. If you are a hotel guest then you are eligible for spa discount here. I did their signature massage which is the Vietnamese Traditional massage for 549000 dong which is already discounted. I will say it is almost similar to Thai Traditional style but less hard. Tipping in Vietnamese culture is always welcome. I gave a 100000 dong tip which is about $5.

🇻🇳 Hoi An Memories Land folk dance
#folkactivities #100WaysOfTravel
A cultural theme park in Da Nang and it is worth a visit at least once. You get to experience the history and culture of Hoi An with the modernized folk dance and music. This is the best form of story telling by presenting it visually and no dialogue is even needed. The audience can learn the story easily through the body actions and language. This stage is about the Japanese and Vietnamese wedding and how wedding was celebrated back in the days. This show is part of the mini shows in the Hoi An Memories Land and you can watch it in sequence. This is the last act when the prince marry the princess and a big ceremony was being held.

Mesmerizing ancient town, Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳✨
#ancienttown
Hoi An ancient town, renowned for its iconic architecture and vibrant cultural heritage which hold a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Vietnam. As a big fan of old town architecture, I made myself visit this famous and must visit place in Vietnam. The town is famous for its colorful lantern which add to the charm especially at night and you will find it in every corner of the city which makes this so iconic and one of a kind city.
Most of the architecture here are influenced by Japanese, Chinese and European style. This is reflected in its architecture and street layout which is so stunning!
There are so much activities to do there, including tailoring, cycling or even just have chill time at the cafe to witness the warm crowd at night.
As it is famous for its tailor shops where you can have custom clothing made by the tailor. I had my friend there do some custom clothing and they were feeling happy with the result 😄
And cycling is the top notch activity you should do during your stay in Hoi An. You can easily find a bicycle rental or you can get free bike rent at certain hotels. So you can make sure in advance to the hotel before you book it.
The best time to do cycling is during evening to sunset time and also at night. You will have so much fun during that time.
The best way to get there in my opinion, you need to fly to Da Nang City if you feel you are far away to take bus.
After you reach at Da Nang City, you could rent a motorbike and ride for around. 30 minutes. I suggest you to at least spend a night in Hoi An ti maximize your exploring in this worthy ancient town 🤩

[4-Day Da Nang, Vietnam Tour] Slow down and enjoy the scenery.
"The greatest benefit of travel is not seeing many people or beautiful scenery, but walking and suddenly getting to know yourself again in an encounter."
Vietnam seems to be the last stop for most people with limited travel expenses in Southeast Asia. In my past narrow cognition, poverty, chaos, and barbarism seem to be its labels, but when I really came to Da Nang, Vietnam, I seemed to find something more important than the label, that is, inner peace.
The first day's itinerary was arranged in the Camellia Peninsula, Pink Church, Hoi An Ancient City and My Khe Beach.
1 Camellia Peninsula
The Camellia Peninsula is famous for its giant Guanyin, primitive trees and Confucian culture. Guanyin stands tall, facing the sea, overlooking the world, and everything grows wildly under it.
Guanyin and temples are more endowed with the meaning of "guard" in the traditional sense of "town". It seems to be guarding a territory while "wind and rain are smooth", and also carefully guarding the existence of every small object in the all-inclusive.
For me who is walking at this moment, it seems to be moisturizing my dry soul invisibly.
2 Pink Church
The church was painted a lovely pink. Although it has been polished by the years and lost its past glory, when you walk in, you can still feel the French romance of the colonial period. The towering church and rows of stone benches seem to be able to imagine the scene of happy people completing the ceremony here. Thinking about it, the hot afternoon time seems to become extremely lazy and comfortable.
3 Hoi An Ancient City
This is where Zheng He stopped seven times in the Western Ocean. Although the port has been discontinued, the remaining ancient city seems to be still telling us the past history in its own way.
The dark-skinned, short Vietnamese vendors wear bamboo hats and sell goods and services to tourists in Vietnamese that they don't understand, or special fruits, food or handicrafts; Da Nang girls wearing local Ao Dai costumes wander the streets; Da Nang old women wearing bamboo hats sit on the roadside to sell local cakes; all people meet in this ancient city for a thousand years, feeling the warmth of the years.
4 My Khe Beach
My Khe Beach is one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world. The 600-meter coastline is long enough for people to enjoy the sea breeze while running wildly on the beach.
I almost go to the beach every year when I travel. Sometimes I am happy and sometimes I am upset, but the sea seems to have some kind of magic power. It can equally accommodate all restless souls, let the sea breeze blow away all thoughts, and only leave a relaxed soul.
Banana Mountain
On the second day, with romantic imagination, we took the cable car up to Banana Mountain. The original forest under our feet was lush and fascinating, and we secretly hoped to see the figure of a giant animal.
After experiencing the temperature of ice and fire, at the junction of sunlight and thick fog, I seemed to see a miracle. The body quickly responded, the pores contracted, and the tinnitus became more and more intense. I expected more surprises.
When I got off the cable car, the thick fog and low temperature of 10 degrees on the top of the mountain quickly wrapped us. With excitement, we walked on the Internet celebrity check-in place-the Buddha's Hand Golden Bridge. The bridge body is graceful like a dragon, leading people forward slowly. In the thick fog that can't be opened, the Buddha's hand is looming. Only the giant hand firmly supports the bridge body. People stay on the bridge and take countless group photos. Try to leave a miracle.
The castle group is the residence of French colonists in history. It was once related to tragic war history such as war, disaster, and refugees, which is awe-inspiring. However, now, the wise and brave people of Da Nang have unloaded its heavy historical burden and turned it into an indispensable part. They have completely preserved the castle and continue to enrich it, hoping to get more wealth.
Shuttle through the winery, glimpse the ancient winemaking civilization of the French manor in every old wine barrel; under the guidance of the bell, we walked up a mountain road, saw an elegant tea room in the desolation, and people walked in leisurely. Going up, there are ancient Chinese pagodas and temples. There are no monks here, no business opportunities, only devout believers.
I stood in the temple and looked at the French castle. There was no inner turmoil and too many thoughts, only a calm and calm heart.
The people of Da Nang seem to live indecently, and even a bit of poor sourness, but they seem to enjoy life more than we do. Perhaps this is related to factors such as history, politics, economy, and living environment. I think it depends more on their inherent beliefs.
Once a person has faith, he has the courage to face the ups and downs of life and the confidence to slow down and live with his heart. In comparison, we are all in a hurry now, afraid that we can't keep up with our peers, and we can be fast. But life that is exhausted will not make us happy.
🇻🇳 Hoi An Ancient Town Old Market
#ancienttown #100WaysOfTravel
A busy market selling livestocks, seafood, handicraft to cooked food is located very near to the Lantern Park. It is in the heart of Hoi An Ancient Town and it is a busy market filled with many street food and restaurants. You can get all kinds of fresh produce here and even sample local food fresh from the wok. There will be many hawkers roaming around and try to pass you their baskets for a photo sessions. If you accept it then please do patronize their goods or give them a small tip. Do be careful of anyone trying to sell you things because they might try to sell you at an inflated price. Always remember to bargain.

Hoi An's Temple of Literature
If you are interested in historical sites and architecture, the Hoi An Confucian Temple is a must-visit spot. Located slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it attracts fewer tourists and offers a truly serene atmosphere. While the overall layout resembles traditional Chinese Confucian temples, the architectural style is imbued with Vietnam's unique traditional beauty. Unlike those commonly seen in Chinese communities, the temple features intricate Vietnamese carvings and distinctive tiled roofs. It's a perfect place for a quiet stroll and leisurely exploration.
A scumptious breakfast during vacation at Mulberry Collection Silk Village, Hoi An
#hotelbuffet #100waysoftravel
During our vacation in Hoi An, we stayed at this resort called Mulberry Collection Silk Village. The hotel itself is one of the best in the region, and the breakfast is awesome as well. With a wide spread of local delicacies, breads, international fares and egg station, the breakfast is deemed very scumptious. What impresses us the most if the outdoor seating facing the pool, it makes the trip even more mesmerizing. The floor made of traditional tiles makes the building very nice and cozy, and we really enjoyed our vacation there. We will definitely go again.

The Perfect Blend: Hội An’s Timeless Charm and a Cup of Coconut Coffee
#cafestory #100WaysofTravel #vietnam #coconutcoffee
Our day trip to the ancient town of Hội An was steeped in history, culture, and, of course, the local café scene. Among the countless charming spots to unwind, we were drawn to Memories Brunch and Cafe, a delightful three-story gem that blends modern comforts with the old-world charm of Hội An.
The café itself was an oasis from the relentless heat outside. We were instantly drawn to the air-conditioned interior, where the atmosphere was cool and inviting, a perfect retreat from the blazing sun. The moment we sat down, we knew we had made the right choice. We ordered a coconut milk coffee—a local specialty—and it exceeded all expectations. The creamy texture, combined with the subtle sweetness of coconut, made each sip feel like a small, luxurious escape from the summer heat.
But what truly made the experience memorable was the warm hospitality. The staff, attentive and friendly, brought us chilled water to refresh us further. To our pleasant surprise, the café’s owner personally came over to greet us. She had a radiant smile and a genuine warmth that made us feel like old friends. She shared a little insider tip: the best time to explore the ancient town was early in the morning, when the streets are empty, and the town feels like a serene, untouched relic of the past.
Intrigued by her advice, we made a mental note for the next day, but first, we ventured up to the café’s balcony. As we stepped outside, the view took our breath away. Below us, Hội An sprawled out like a living postcard—ancient rooftops, winding streets, and the gentle curve of the Thu Bồn River all bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun. It was a photographer’s dream, every angle offering a new perspective on the town’s timeless beauty.
As we sipped the last of our coffee and soaked in the view, we realized that this moment, perched above the ancient town with a perfect cup of coffee in hand, was the essence of what makes travel so special. It’s the small, unexpected moments of connection—with a place, its people, and even yourself—that linger in your memory long after the journey ends.
How to spend a Perfect Day in 🏮Hoi An🏮
#citydaytours
It takes only 30 minutes from Da Nang by taxi 🚕
☕️Begin your day with a cup of egg coffee (or any other coffee you prefer) at Lanterns Cafe - Healthy Brunch.
🥥Visit the Cam Thanh Coconut Village village and enjoy a ride on a traditional basket boat.
💛Return to the Ancient Town to explore its charming streets, ancient architecture, and historical sites.
🌅Choose a restaurant with a view of the river and savor the sunset from the balcony on the second floor. Our option was Tiệm Cà Phê Nhà Mình, make sure to ask to be seated upstairs!
🛶Take a leisurely boat ride along the river.
‼️ Be mindful of candle wishes. While it’s popular to make wishes and release floating candles into the river, I don’t recommend it due to its negative impact on the environment. Many of these candles end up polluting the river.

Amazingly beautiful of Old Town, Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳
#100WaysOfTravel
As a worshipper of Old Town vibes, I made myself step in the old town in Vietnam called Hoi An. The old town style here still in pure and original touch as the lantern is the most iconic attraction to tourist and spread everywhere in the city.
The old town style holds perfectly as an identity of Hoi An which renowned as one of the best old town in Vietnam. This makes Hoi An interesting to visit and no wonder if there are a lot of tourist coming to witness its original old vibes touch.
As my recommendation, I suggest you to rent a bike (for some cases, some hotels will allow you to use their bike for free) and explore the city during sunset time and so on as this time will be the best temperature and there will be a lot of attraction start opening such as canal ride and authentic local stores.
On how to get there, you could take bus from wherever you are and make sure there is available bus route direct to Hoi An or Da Nang city, or you can also take plane to Da Nang city. After you arrived in Da Nang, you could rent a motorbike or car and drive for around 30 minutes to get there.
Staying a night is optional but it will be more enjoyable if you stay a night in Hoi An. It is worth visiting town, i assure you.
As of now, Hoi An is my top notch worth visiting destination in Vietnam. It serves peaceful, quiet, warm and politeness by the local! It's absolutely fun in Hoi An.

When you come to #HoiAn Ancient Town in Vietnam, in addition to walking around and enjoying the French colonial style, experiencing cruise ships, lanterns, and coffee and food, you can also go to Hoi An Memory Land to enjoy a luxurious song and dance performance # Hoi An Impression Show, which is really exciting. , highly recommended!
# Hoi An Impression Park is an amusement and holiday center, covering a large area. It is located on a sandbank island opposite the river bank of Hoi An Ancient City. You need to cross a bridge or take a boat to get there. The park is divided into three parts: Hoi An Impression Theater, theme park, and spa resort hotel.
The Hoi An Memory Show is known as the largest show in Vietnam. It consists of hundreds of performers wearing Vietnamese traditional #Ao Dai costumes, combined with modern stage technology, leading the audience to travel through time and space and return to the Phaifu trading port 400 years ago to enjoy a A world-class visual feast!
This is a large-scale performance that combines land and water. It not only has a large number of actors, but also elephants and boats. The combination of sound and light projections and fireworks, combined with music, poetry and gorgeous dance, is full of vitality. Vietnam’s passion and unrestrainedness are unforgettable.
Before watching the show, you can go to the theme park first. Rows of uniquely designed hand-made shophouses and the Moonlight Bridge give you the illusion of arriving at the Yilan Traditional Art Center, which is antique.
But the crowd at the end was so scary, it was like a concert ending and everyone was let out instantly! Fortunately, I contacted the charter driver in advance and left quickly, otherwise there would have been a heavy traffic jam ORZ

Hoi An Ancient Town: Historical architecture blends with modernity

Hoi An Ancient Town was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1999. It was a trading port from the 15th to the 19th century. Lasenta Boutique Hotel Hoi An - A Boutique Hotel with a Panoramic View of the Countryside
Located near the ancient town of Hoi An in Vietnam, the "Lasenta Boutique Hotel Hoi An" is a white building situated at the edge of the countryside, capturing both the urban and rural scenery.
Passing through the hotel's white arched corridor, you arrive at the beautiful atrium courtyard, which has a design that exudes a Southeast Asian holiday atmosphere. The courtyard's U-shaped design connects to the sky, allowing for excellent natural lighting. The outdoor swimming pool features an infinity design, and its biggest selling point is the view of the vast rice fields in spring right before your eyes. Unfortunately, due to the season, the lush greenery is not visible.
Despite being a boutique hotel, the prices are very approachable. The most affordable city view deluxe room, which is about 33 square meters, costs only about $1500 per night for two people, including breakfast. This time, staying in a 40 square meter scenic luxury supreme room, you can easily enjoy the view of the rice fields from the room, and the price including breakfast is just over $2000, which is quite a bargain!
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, embracing the natural beauty of the countryside, and even riding the hotel's complimentary bicycles to enjoy the greenery, it truly feels like a relaxing vacation, extremely comfortable and satisfying.
Vietnam Hoi An - A Cup of Signature Egg Coffee
Visiting the ancient town of Hoi An, it's essential to enjoy a cup of coffee, which is both comfortable and pleasant.
Hoi An Roastery Espresso & Coffee House is a wooden old house in the ancient town area, with a two-story building covered in greenery. The bright yellow exterior exudes unrestrained French romance, while the tide green interior showcases the South Seas charm, exuding an ancient and antique vibe from the inside out.
Order a cup of coffee and sit by the window, looking at the crowds threading through the ancient town and the uneven rooftops, to settle your mood.
Egg coffee and coconut ice cream coffee are the Vietnamese specialty flavors of the shop, offering a double impact on both visual and taste senses. Those who like to try new things should definitely give them a try.
At night, when the lights are first lit, Hoi An reveals another kind of charm. It is highly recommended to visit the ancient town of Hoi An when coming to Da Nang. Stay from day to night to experience the difference; it's a town with a rich cultural atmosphere.

🇻🇳 Charming Hoi An Ancient Town
A visit to Da Nang is not complete without visiting Hoi An which is located 30 km from Da Nang International Airport. Inscribed in 1999 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. We spent half a day exploring the ancient town which is famous for its traditional architecture, lantern-lit streets and vibrant atmosphere and iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. There were plenty of opportunities for us to capture stunning photos as we explored the old town. We also enjoyed checking out clothes stores which sell Vietnamese traditional costumes with beautiful prints.

🇻🇳 Travel to 'Hoi An', a chic ancient town.
'Old Town' is another tourist attraction worth visiting in Hoi An. The whole area is decorated with old buildings in light yellow, decorated with various flowers and trees. Some buildings are decorated with colorful lanterns. There are many shops for us to choose from. There are also cafes where you can chill out or restaurants to choose from. At night, on the opposite side is a night market with souvenirs and food for sale. If you are interested in taking a boat to see the night atmosphere, this place also offers it. If you want to take pictures with lots of lanterns, you can do so by paying 10,000 Vietnamese won. You can also take pictures with lots of lanterns.
Advice: If you want to walk during the day, we recommend going around 4-5 pm because it is sooo hot. We went around noon until the afternoon and couldn't walk anymore. We had to go back to our accommodation and come back again in the evening instead.
Transportation▪️We traveled to various places with Grab. It is convenient and easy to use because it is the same app as in Thailand. We can also choose the size of the car and the price that we are okay with. We think the taxi meter is okay, but be careful not to be driven around. Try to open the map with the driver because on the way back from the night market, we didn't open the map to look at it. Before I knew it, I had already gone far.
Accommodation▪️ Tra Que ManaionThe accommodation looked better than the price. It was a multi-storey building with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. There was a swimming pool and a restaurant. For those who don't want to go out to find something to eat, it's a bit hidden away, but you can call a car to pick you up in front of the accommodation or have the accommodation call a car for you.
Food▪️ Pho Xia - A small pho shop in the old town. There are only a few tables in the shop. There are always people coming in to eat. The beef pho is very delicious. The bowl of pho is very big. I almost couldn't finish it by myself. The price is not expensive.▪️Banh Mi Phuong - A Vietnamese sandwich shop with a lot of people waiting in line. There are both eat-in and take-out options. There are many fillings to choose from. The price is cute. Most importantly, it's very delicious.
Expenses▪️Tra Que Mansion 1,420,000 VND (2 rooms)▪️Pho Xia 375,000 VND▪️Banh Mi Phuong 130,000 VND
