Today I want to share a fantastic check-in experience! The service at Jiuquan Longding Business Hotel (Hantang Food Street) was beyond my expectations!
🌹🌹As soon as I walked into the lobby, I felt very warm. The pleasant aroma and the polite greetings and smiles from the staff were simply refreshing.
The hotel also offers free self-service laundry. In this season, you can wash and dry your clothes in your room. What a treat!!
The room is fully equipped and very clean! The bed and pillows are super comfortable, soft and fragrant, giving me a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and even upgraded my room for free. Big thumbs up.
I will definitely stay here again when I come to Jiuquan!!
Jiuquan Museum
Jiuquan City Museum [located at No. 10 Panxuan West Road, Suzhou District, Jiuquan City, is the first comprehensive museum in Jiuquan City with the theme of urban history and culture, and is also one of the larger comprehensive museums in Gansu Province. The museum was built in 2012, with a total area of 6,600 square meters and a building area of 17,400 square meters, of which the exhibition area is about 12,000 square meters. It has three floors above ground and one underground floor, and was officially opened to the public for free on December 22, 2015.
The design style of the museum echoes the Wutong Garden landscape garden, blending harmoniously and uniquely. Its design concept uses a modern approach to express the historical charm of Han and Tang architecture, retaining the colonnades and light, deep eaves of Chinese Han and Tang architecture. An unexpected surprise after missing my stop at Jiuguan Park
I took a bus to Jiuguan Park in Jiuguan, but unexpectedly, I missed my stop. It turned out to be the last stop, and I was planning to wait for the bus to start its route again. However, after checking the route, I realized that Jiuguan Park was only a few hundred meters from the terminal station. While I was hesitating, I saw a vast sea of flowers and decisively got off the bus.
Then snap, snap, snap, and after that, I discovered the nearby botanical garden. Since I was already there, I decided to take another stroll.
I ended up wandering alone for over two hours. It's not my fault; time flew by so fast that I almost forgot about Jiuguan Park...
In the botanical garden, I looked for stone carvings of my family name and birth date; the lake water was emerald green with a suspension bridge; there was also a challenge corridor, which children would probably love, and honestly, I liked it too but was too embarrassed to play; there was also a themed zoo, but it charged a fee of 20, and they gave away carrots to feed the animals (although the outdoor animals seemed a bit off, the indoor ones were okay), and so on. Anyway, it felt quite interesting, well, it might also be because I was interested.
In the end, I also spent more than 40 minutes in Jiuguan Park. I didn't get to see the ancient Jiuguan, as it was fenced off and under construction, which was a bit disappointing. There is also a zoo inside Jiuguan Park, which is very affordable at 8 for adults and 5 for children, and it seems that most of the animals are rescued. I wanted to go in and take a look, but it was too late, and the staff said they were off work.

Having traveled across China, I've visited many museums, but the Jiuquan Museum still offered me a very special surprise.
1. The 'Stone Chamber Treasures' exhibition on the first floor is quite unique, presenting the splendid achievements of Jiuquan's cave art in a full-scale, multi-dimensional manner through a combination of replicated colored sculptures, murals, illustrations, and physical exhibits. It showcases classic replicas from 19 cave art sites including the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang and the Yulin Caves in Guazhou, including exquisite murals that were stolen and are now in the UK, France, the USA, Japan, and India;
2. The main exhibition hall on the second floor is very thoughtfully designed, with a clear timeline and visitor signage. Right out of the elevator, you encounter the dinosaur fossils of ancient Jiuquan, followed by the Han Dynasty's territorial expansion, the Silk Road's cultural blend during the Tang and Yuan dynasties, the Ming Dynasty's fortified border defense, the Suiyuan reforms of the Qing Dynasty, and the century-long journey towards the republic, especially the development of the oil and aerospace industries. Finally, there's the local intangible cultural heritage and cultural and creative products, with the elevator to go downstairs right outside the door.

Buddhism, as a carrier of East-West cultural exchange, guided numerous Buddhist monks to undertake arduous journeys along the Silk Road to seek and spread the teachings of Buddhism. The eminent monk Zhu Shixing from the Three Kingdoms period brought scriptures from India to Luoyang and established China's first Buddhist temple, the White Horse Temple. Subsequently, figures such as Zhu Fahu of the Western Jin dynasty, Kumarajiva of the Later Qin, Faxian of the Later Qin, Le Seng of the Former Qin, Liu Sahe of the Eastern Jin, Shi Bao Yun of the Eastern Jin, Tan Wu Chen of the Northern Liang, and Xuanzang of the Tang dynasty all used Jiuquan as a station, sprinkling Buddhist thought and doctrine on this land, leaving a deep imprint including the art of the caves.

It mainly displays the wisdom and skills of ancient artists through a combination of replicas of colored sculptures, murals, illustrations, and physical exhibits. Many classic replicas are on display, such as the Bodhisattva attendant in Cave 45 of the Mogao Grottoes, the Sakyamuni meditation Buddha statue in Cave 259, as well as the Sakyamuni Preaching Under the Tree painting (now in the British Museum), the Water Moon Guanyin statue (now in the Musée Guimet, France), and the Fuxi and Nüwa (now in the National Museum of India), among others.

From Jiayuguan City to Zhangye, the Qilian Mountains covered in white snow can be seen all along the way. Halfway through, turn south and head straight to the foot of the mountains to reach the grand Maying River Canyon. As you walk towards the edge of the cliff, the ground beneath your feet suddenly disappears, and a magnificent canyon appears before your eyes. The low-key canyon—Hongshui River Grand Canyon
After passing through the Jiayuguan Gobi Grand Canyon at the first beacon of the Great Wall, visit the cracked earth at the Hongshui River Grand Canyon near Jiayuguan and Jiuquan. The place where the Hongshui River falls into the canyon to form waterfalls is just facing away from the sun, and in winter, ice waterfalls form. However, the water flow is not significant in winter, giving the impression of just two streams of snot hanging there. Still, the inside of the canyon is quite spectacular. It's a pity that the Qilian Mountains are still shrouded in mist, and the layers don't come out, which is a bit regrettable.
