Delicious Feng Wei Cart Noodles Hong Kong
Cart noodles, a beloved culinary tradition in Hong Kong, have a fascinating history. These humble bowls of goodness were initially sold by street vendors who roamed the city with wooden carts in the 1950s. Although vendors on wheels are rarely seen today, cart noodles remain a stalwart favorite among Hongkongers.
Located in Mong Kok, Feng Wei specializes in cart noodles with a twist. Besides classic toppings, they offer offal options like pork rind, pig blood curd, and pig intestines. For those less adventurous, wontons and fish balls are also available. They offer over 30 different toppings, all served in a flavorful homemade pork bone or chicken or mushroom broth. In addition to these iconic dishes, they also have spicy broth Suan La Fen.
Offering mouth-watering cart noodles at an affordable price, Feng Wei caters to both locals and tourists alike. If you’re ever in Hong Kong, don’t miss the chance to savor these comforting bowls of goodness!

Recommend 3 restaurants near MTR MONG KOK 🍽️
3 restaurants that are both delicious and near MTR Mong Kok, just a 300-meter walk
- Ki'son Roasted Goose is a rice restaurant that has everything, including crispy pork, red pork, duck, and goose. This is a restaurant that everyone recommends to come and eat. There are many branches. This branch has only 5 tables, so you have to share with others (I'll whisper that this branch is cheaper than other branches).
Opening-Closing Time: 10:00–22:00
- Mui Kee Congee is a restaurant at Fayuen Market on the 3rd floor of the food court. There are quite a few tables, mostly locals coming to eat, but there is an English menu. The restaurant's signature menu is fish congee, but we ordered congee with stuffing, which was just as delicious. I highly recommend it.
Opening-Closing Time: 7:00–15:00, Closed on Tuesdays
- SUSHI TAKE-OUT is another restaurant that I would like to recommend because it is both good for both price and quality. This sushi restaurant has a variety of toppings to choose from. There are both sets and individual pieces. Each piece costs 3 HKD and it's delicious too.
Opening hours: 12:00–22:00

This corner coffee shop in Mong Kok has changed from selling bagels to selling cakes🥯🍰
The popular layer cake shop opened from Tsuen Wan to Mong Kok and took over the operation🙌🏻
We also collaborated with a barista born in the 00s so that everyone can have coffee while eating dessert☕️
The new store has been here for more than a month and the layout of the store is almost the same as before👀
The goo on the seat looks like a piece of biscuit, very cute🍪
As a pistachio lover, once I saw the Italian pistachio layer cake, I couldn’t make another choice😍
Smooth and fragrant cream noodles and large and small chopped pistachios add to the taste💚
The pie crust is so thin that it won’t be too wet or dry until it’s soft and cooked. Visually, it has 17-18 layers🍰
It’s easy to break when you cut it, and you don’t have to drag the knife. It really won’t lose to the chain layer cake shops🍴
Christmas is approaching and there is a small Christmas tree on the tiramisu to celebrate the festival🎄
The wine taste is very strong and there are surprises. Those who are not good at drinking may have to be mentally prepared🍸🤤
The milk coffee is very sweet and smooth, just enough to neutralize the aroma of tiramisu☕️
There are also several flavors of cakes that I want to try and I will arrange a second visit🤓

Over 300 HKD for all-you-can-eat, including caviar!!
Today is my day off, so I went out with a friend for some food. They suggested an all-you-can-eat place, and without hesitation, we went to the top-tier buffet restaurant, Den·Daikiya. Luckily, we had a reservation because the place was packed. Can you believe it? For just over 300 HKD, you can eat as much caviar as you want! The flavors were incredibly fresh and rich. It was amazing!
The Japanese sea urchin melts in your mouth, so fresh and delicious. The sea urchin, toro, and dried cod hand roll was very tempting. The Japanese sea urchin was sweet and plump, combined with creamy toro and fresh salmon roe, offering a rich and layered texture. I couldn't stop eating!
Sushi & Sashimi: There were sea urchins, salmon, ark shell, yellowtail, pond fish, sweet shrimp, whelk, scallops, and more.
Cooked Dishes: There were squab, giant fish maw, salt-grilled beef tongue, garlic-baked scallops, grilled chicken kidneys, golden crab congee, foie gras toast with caviar, and more.
Desserts: Various ice creams, popsicles, cheesecakes, tofu pudding, assorted fruits, and more.
Drinks: Various teas, sodas, plum wine, beer, sake, hot drinks, and more.
The giant fish maw steak was amazing, very large and thick, rich in collagen, with a great texture and smoothness. The yellowtail and salmon sashimi were thickly sliced, offering a rich texture and filled with the aroma of fish oil, fresh and delicious.

The shop is quite bright, the decor is as usual with light wood color with green, the number of tables is not small, and there are quite a lot of people, I probably went at 6pm was already full
🔸Red Date Lotus Seed Stewed Peach Jelly $39

Teach you how to upgrade Eggman 🤩 Completely "turn around"🤣
Is it because the weather is getting cooler lately? I've always wanted to eat waffles😆
I just ran into this one on the way home💖✨
✨ Earl Gray Mochi $36
The rounded edges are still full of crispy however maybe because of the marshmallows the rounded bits become smoky and tough
But I have to say that his Earl Gray tea aroma is quite strong and a little sweet when you eat it later
If you want to eat the whole is crispy
You can take it home and heat it in an air fryer to become crispy on the outside and smoky on the inside🤤 even better👍
Do you also have delicious waffles recommendations? Or which flavor is delicious😋?

Hot Pot Buffet with Chicken and Beef
The weather is starting to cool down today, so I wanted to have some hot pot. I found a place nearby that offers chicken pot and hot pot, so I decided to give it a try 😆
We ordered a special chicken pot first. The portion of chicken was generous, and the sauce was very flavorful and rich, with a slight spiciness. The chicken itself was very tender, making the chicken pot quite impressive.
Next, we used the chicken pot sauce for the hot pot. They brought us a beef platter first, which included Australian M7 Wagyu, beef tongue, fatty beef, and brisket. The beef tongue was particularly delicious 😄
They also have a lot of self-service side dishes like goose intestines, vegetables, and mushrooms. We were too full to try the side dishes.
They also offer self-service drinks and ice cream. Each of us had one; one was sea salt flavor, and the other was Earl Grey tea flavor. The texture was quite interesting, soft and fluffy, which was quite special.

The Taste on the Iron Plate
Teppan House
Shop G, 188 Tung Choi Street, Mong Kok
It's been a long time since I had a Hong Kong-style steak meal. This time, I went to Teppan House in Mong Kok, which has a nostalgic Hong Kong flavor. The dinner set here offers a variety of choices at very reasonable prices, and it includes soup, bread, dessert, and tea. We ordered two steak meals for the two of us.
1. Teppan Ribeye with Pork Chop and Teppan Ribeye Steak
When served, they pour the sauce for you. You can choose between black pepper and garlic sauce, and you can also have the sauce served separately. I chose to have it on the side because I don't like too much oil or sauce. Both steaks were large enough, and the ribeye cooked to medium was tender and juicy, not tough at all, cooked just right. Many places use tenderizer powder, which makes the beef lose its flavor, but here the meat flavor is strong enough, so it's tasty even without the sauce. Among all the Hong Kong-style steak restaurants I've tried, this one is the best in terms of quality and taste. The pork chop was also tender and not too thin, making it very satisfying. The fries that came with the steak were also delicious, not too oily, and not over-fried. Dipping them in the sauce was perfect.
2. Bread and Soup
A Hong Kong-style steak meal wouldn't be complete without bread and borscht. The bread was soft and fluffy, best enjoyed with butter, and the borscht was rich and flavorful, reminiscent of the old days. Even I, who rarely drink soup, couldn't resist finishing it.
3. Dessert
The dessert here was jelly, and you can choose to add evaporated milk or not. This jelly as the meal's finale really brought back childhood memories.
Overall, the food quality at this restaurant is high, better than many other places, and the prices are reasonable. It's definitely worth coming back for more.
Mala Xiang Guo.
Special Cucumber Salad
The cucumber salad is tangy and spicy, perfect for whetting your appetite. The seasoning is just right, and the texture is crisp and refreshing, making it a great palate cleanser!
Golden Soup Pickled Fish
This time, we chose the mildly spicy version of the pickled fish. It's flavorful without being too spicy! The fish is tender and smooth, fully absorbing the soup's flavors. The portion of fish is generous! There are also plenty of side ingredients, including radish, mushrooms, lettuce, and sweet potato noodles... all paired with the fragrant golden soup, perfect with rice!
Fresh Pepper Frog
The frog pieces are large and meaty, with tender and flavorful meat. The seasoning is very appetizing, making you want to eat more and more. The fresh pepper adds a nice crunch and a refreshing taste. The portion of frog is also generous, with plenty of pieces, making it very satisfying.
Kumquat Lemon Tea
The kumquat lemon tea comes in both hot and cold options. On a hot summer day, a cold drink is perfect for cooling down and quenching your thirst. It has a citrusy lemon aroma and isn't too sweet.

Hong Kong Michelin Dim Sum Restaurant 'One Dim Sum'
One Dim Sum is a cost-effective chain dim sum restaurant located in Hong Kong. I visited the One Dim Sum in Mong Kok, and even though I went late, there was still a wait, proving it's a truly popular spot. Keep in mind that if you visit late, some dim sum items might be sold out.
A new One Dim Sum has opened in Central, and since this location operates until dawn, it's a good option for those looking to take out.

The restaurant's popularity is astonishing
Even on weekdays, there's often a queue for a table. During lunchtime, we usually make a reservation in advance. The value for money is excellent, with the total cost, including service charge, being under $300! The menu is extensive, and the dishes are served quickly. Ordering through QR code is efficient, with almost no missed orders. 👍
This Mong Kok branch, although not as large as the Tsim Sha Tsui location, has everything you need. Besides the self-service area outside, the menu offers a wide variety of choices, from sashimi and sushi to fried items, grilled dishes, small plates, and hot pot dishes. Some dishes are particularly noteworthy. The recently featured toro sashimi is a must-try, with its melt-in-your-mouth belly meat that's incredibly tender and fresh. The sesame chicken wings are golden and crispy on the outside, with juicy and tender meat inside. The assorted tempura is freshly fried to order, offering a crispy texture. The roasted pigeon is rich in flavor, with a savory taste and tender meat that leaves a lasting impression.
There are also various grilled items. The Saikyo-yaki flounder is rich in fish oil and has a thick, firm texture. The cooked fish maw is large and juicy, making it a top choice on my order list.
For dessert, they even have a whole fresh durian, which is quite a treat!

A New Chaozhou Beef Hotpot in Mong Kok
Today, my friends and I were in Mong Kok looking at sneakers when we suddenly craved hotpot 😂. We found this newly opened Chaozhou beef specialty store online. Recently, Chaozhou beef has become quite popular, so we wanted to see how it differs from regular hotpot.
The restaurant has a spacious and clean environment. After being seated, there were various sauces available for us to mix ourselves. The staff mentioned that their soy sauce is specially brewed for hotpot, making it particularly flavorful.
We chose the beef bone broth, which was rich and not greasy, perfect for hotpot as it brings out the natural flavors of other ingredients.
Fried Cuttlefish Balls🦑
Freshly fried to order, these were hot and flavorful with a bouncy texture. Be sure to eat them while they're hot!
Shoulder Blade Beef🐮
Hand-cut shoulder blade beef has a distinct tendon running through it, making the meat tender and juicy.
Beef Tongue🐂
Fresh and thickly sliced, the beef tongue shrinks and firms up immediately when placed in the pot. Dipping it in the homemade soy sauce enhances its fresh and crisp taste.
Beef Marrow🐂
Rich in flavor with a strong beef aroma and sweetness, it melts smoothly in your mouth.
Pork and Chive Dumplings🥟
Freshly made in-house, these large dumplings have thin skins and are packed with chives.
Frozen Tofu🧊
Soaks up the essence of the broth, offering a soft and tender texture.
Celtuce🎋
Fresh and crisp with a translucent green color, it is both refreshing and sweet.
