With a population of just under one million including the surrounding area, Oslo is a vibrant city that has grown over the centuries into a unique and interesting culture. Dating back someone thousand years, this capital of Norway has an exceptional harbor that makes visiting via boat an enjoyable and easily scheduled way of travel. In addition to Oslo’s many museums and various parks, outdoor galleries (like the popular Vigeland Sculpture Park) make viewing the numerous examples of this rich culture very easy. Shopping, great food, and a lively nightlife are also waiting until you if you are up to it. Good quality budget food can be discovered in Torggata, and offers both local and international favorites. The surrounding countryside makes a great place for cold-weather sports like skiing and snowboarding, and the locals are tolerant of less than perfect novices.

Spending autumn in Oslo was absolutely magical 🍂! The city felt like it was painted in shades of orange, red, and gold, with leaves carpeting the streets. I loved strolling through Vigeland Park, where the statues looked even more stunning against the autumn backdrop. The fresh air and peaceful vibe made it the perfect place to relax. Oslo’s waterfront at Aker Brygge was also a great spot to enjoy a coffee and admire the Oslofjord as the sun set early in the evening.
Entrance to most outdoor attractions is free, and the city has such a relaxed pace during autumn. I visited the Viking Ship Museum, which had a modest entry fee (about 120 NOK), but totally worth it for the fascinating history. Near Oslo, the Holmenkollen Ski Museum offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city surrounded by autumn colors.

My experience at the Christmas Market in Oslo was a winter wonderland for me! 🎄 Located in Spykersuppa Square in the heart of the Norwegian capital, the location of the market is no less glamorous outside the Royal Palace Oslo City Hall
The highlight was the many stalls, each offering a variety of festive crafts, traditional Norwegian desserts and holiday treats for Gløgg (mulled wine) and the scent of roasted almonds filled the air filled, making it pleasantly inviting and creating an atmosphere.
Surrounded by twinkling lights and decorated with a towering Christmas tree, the central ice rink was the heart of the market. Skating with the Palace in the background added a bit of magic to the experience.
While exploring nearby attractions, Akershus Castle and the Acre Brigge waterfront offered a seamless mix of historic and modern charm. The picturesque streets of the Karl Johannes Gate made for a lovely leisurely walk, especially the town decorated with festive lights

We went to the Oslo central station with confident of being early, yet the airport express have already left🤣After waiting for 20min, we can finally go to the airport and realise that we have only 20 minutes left for boarding. Holmenkollen Ski Museum & Tower - Oslo
Built on the top of a mountain north of Oslo, it held its first ski jumping event in 1900s. A taller tower was then built later for the 1952 Winter Olympics.
Within this huge compound, you will find a Ski Museum, an Observation Deck, a Ski Simulator and a zipline for the adventurous.
But, unfortunately the museum is under renovation till end of 2023. But you are still able to admire the building structure from the outside!
To get here, you can take Metro 1 (towards Frognerseteran) and alight at Holmenkollen station. It will then be a 10 minutes walk to the location.

Ekebergparken overlooking Oslo is a 25 acre park consisting of 31 sculptures and breathtaking views over the Oslo fjord , artists with work here include Salvador Dali , Gustav Vigeland and Pierre -Auguste Renoir to name a few ..
The park is open all year round and also has a museum , gift shop and restaurant .
It’s well worth a visit if your in Oslo , some lovely walks and views and it’s not too far from Oslo central station , you can also get the 34/74 bus and 13/19 Trams to ekebergparken

Oslo holds its annual Christmas carnival Jul I Vinterland every year, and this year is no exception 🥰 This Christmas carnival is very rich in activities, in addition to the common Christmas markets, you can buy a variety of local crafts, the most Especially with Coca cola virtual sledding!
