Family trip, a great place for a weekend getaway with kids
✅Hello, this is the sixth episode of the family trip channel. Although winter has arrived, the weather in Guangdong is still very comfortable. We took our baby to a hidden gem of a resort in Shenzhen, which is a natural oxygen bar.
✅3-hour drive from Zhuhai, check in at the Danfeng Kaili Resort. We came with 3 families of friends and booked a villa. You can also book a single room in a villa according to your needs.
✅Each room is bright and has a private bathroom. Some rooms have a small balcony with a great view. You can play mahjong with your family, have a barbecue in the courtyard, and sing karaoke at night. It is perfect for company team building, family gatherings, and annual events.
✅In the afternoon, we played at the resort, checked in at the colorful wooden house pool, children's playground (you can prepare beach toys), sky camping afternoon tea, and the baby can also feed cute pets.
✅On that day, a company was holding a Christmas team building event at the resort. The atmosphere was great, and the layout and decoration were beautifully designed! You can also hold birthday parties, propose, and organize picnics and camping activities! This resort is so versatile.
✅There is a western restaurant (very well designed) and a Chinese restaurant in the resort. We tried both, and the ingredients were very fresh! The baby can also eat.
✅After waking up, we went to the western restaurant for a rich buffet breakfast, and then checked in at the Dapeng Peninsula National Geopark Museum (closed on Mondays). No reservation or ticket is required! It houses exhibitions of volcanic rocks and treasures from the sea. There are dinosaur models in the back garden outside, which children love.
✅A few minutes' walk from the museum gate, there is a green lawn, lovely sheep, and a babbling stream. Remember to protect yourself from mosquitoes and the sun!

Dapeng Villa Hotel in Shenzhen, a must-choose for a vacation.
This villa hotel is located opposite the Dapeng Peninsula Geopark.
Each villa has 4 rooms and can accommodate 10 people.
This time I went on a weekday with another person, and we were arranged a separate villa.
Only one room was opened, and it was very spacious inside.
There is a terrace where you can enjoy coffee in the morning while looking at the Qiniang Mountain.
There is a bathtub and a small window sill for leisure and rest.
Later, you can sing KTV in the living room.
The breakfast is very rich.
They also provided afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed in the beautiful restaurant with Greek-style decor.
There are not many restaurants nearby, so the option is to eat back at the hotel.
Western-style pasta + steak, the taste is normal.
But the environment enhances the experience (eating in the afternoon tea restaurant).
It's not far from Jiediao Sand and Dapeng Ancient City.
You can take a Didi or there is a bus at the door.
There is a geopark right at the door to walk around.

2️⃣ The pre-booked afternoon tea will be served next to the hotel pool under a canopy. While adults enjoy their tea, children can feed little rabbits and guinea pigs, and there's also a children's playground with slides, a sandpit, and swings.
3️⃣ The swimming pool is in front of a row of colorful cabins. Kids particularly enjoy the water play boats in the pool, which is open until 9 pm, so you can play in the evening if you're worried about the sun.

1⃣️ Just a few steps from the hotel is the Dapeng Geological Museum, which is free to enter and particularly suitable for walking with children. We've been there twice, and there are many realistic dinosaurs and volcanoes, as well as a simulated underwater world for educational fun.
2⃣️ The ranch with sheep is a popular spot for wedding photos. The sheep appear between 12 pm and 5 pm for interactive photo opportunities. They are so engrossed in grazing that they're not afraid of people.
3⃣️ Next to the ranch is a stream flowing from Qiniang Mountain, where you can play in the water and even set up a canopy for a picnic with an open fire and overnight stay. Along the way, you'll find branches laden with ripe lychees that you can pick and eat at your leisure.
🔵About going to the beach:
1️⃣ I highly recommend visiting Jiediaosha, which is 5 kilometers away and free to enter. It's Shenzhen's 'Maldives' with clear water and fine sand. It gets very crowded on weekends, so I suggest going early in the morning on the second day for a smooth experience. Staying at the Danfeng Kaili is also a way to avoid peak times.
2️⃣ A bit further from Jiediaosha is Yangmeikeng, where you can catch the tide and it's also worth visiting for mermaid photo shoots! However, the beach is not great, so if you just want to relax and take the kids to play in the sand, choose Jiediaosha.
