Hidden Jinlong Temple: A spiritual journey to find niche Zen.
In the busy urban life, we occasionally need a trip to find those niche beauty hidden on the edge of the city. This time, I chose Jinlong Temple in Jiangyang District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, a place full of Zen and beautiful scenery.
Jinlong Temple, a historic temple built on the mountain, faces the Yangtze River, backs on the mountain rock, with a quiet environment and a unique geographical location. As soon as you step into the temple, you can feel the tranquility and harmony. The temple surrounded by red walls is simple and solemn, adding a sense of history.
Walking along the red wall, I found a perfect shooting spot - the third-floor terrace. Standing on the terrace, you can overlook the scenery of the whole temple, with a wide view and pleasant scenery. Unfortunately, Jinlong is under renovation this time, and I didn't take the most beautiful scenery 😭
On the third-floor terrace, you can also see several beautiful peacocks walking leisurely. These peacocks have colorful feathers and elegant postures, becoming the darlings of the camera.
The whole trip to Jinlong Temple made me feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture. Whether it is the architectural style of the temple or the Zen atmosphere in the temple, I am fascinated. Here, I found inner peace and tranquility, and also took many beautiful moments.
Jinlong Temple, this niche discovery place, not only let me appreciate the natural beauty, but also let me experience the Zen life. I believe that in the future, I will come here again to feel the unique tranquility and beauty. If you are also tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, you might as well come to Jinlong Temple for a walk, and I believe you will also find your own peace and tranquility.
Self-driving parking is very convenient!

Sichuan-Guizhou Off-the-Beaten-Path Tour Day 5: Luzhou Jinlong Temple.
Who would have thought that a temple could be so imposing? The halls are built into the mountain, the pilgrimage steps are steep, and the huge dragon head on the steep steps creates an extreme sense of awe. Fortunately, I brought a drone, and from the air, I could overlook the entire temple and the stone steps with the giant dragon, which had a strong presence and religious ritual atmosphere. Another shooting angle is from the platform on the left side of the Guanyin Hall, where you can see the full view of the golden dragon from the side.

Few places have left me in such awe! Just two hours from Chengdu.
Compared to the crowded tourist spots, I prefer Luzhou, a city famous for its wine, because it hides a place that captivates the imagination.
In the depths of the forest, I discovered this enormous golden dragon, mysterious and magnificent!
Navigation 🧭: Jinlong Temple (about 12 km from Luzhou High-speed Railway Station to Jinlong Temple, about half an hour by car, or you can take bus 128 or 18). The temple is located 135 meters northeast of the Jiangnan Material Waste Trading Market on Lanxi Road, Jiangyang District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. Admission 🎫 is free, and there are a few free parking spaces inside.
Things to do 🚶:
1. This temple is relatively unknown, but it has a unique charm. To enter the temple, you need to climb a long staircase to catch a glimpse of the huge golden dragon head, shining in the sunlight, with two vivid carvings of flying dragons at your feet.
2. At the top of the temple, the dragon and the city become one, overlooking the distant cityscape. In addition to the majestic golden dragon, there are many carefully cultivated potted plants worth admiring.
3. Photography tips: Inside the temple, the best place to photograph the dragon head is at the left staircase entrance, using a telephoto lens. Some shots require a drone.

Jinlong Temple.
One of my wishes for the Year of the Dragon was to visit Jinlong Temple and walk across Longnao Bridge. I traveled from the coast of the East China Sea to Luzhou, Sichuan, a city known for its wine. It was a period of high temperatures, but I was still in high spirits. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the whole temple. The view from the rooftop of the Five Observations Hall was just okay. Because of the high temperatures, there were few visitors, which made it feel peaceful.

A city with a rich cultural atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of urban life—Jinlong Temple
Luzhou Jinlong Temple is truly a place worth experiencing. There is no commercial activity, only the essence of daily life. When you are tired from walking, you can sit down and enjoy free tea, or copy scriptures with a brush.
Jinlong Temple is a temple located in Binjiang Village, Lantian Street, Jiangyang District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province.
Jinlong Temple is an ancient temple with a history of over a thousand years, featuring the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, the Reclining Buddha, the Chanting Hall, the Thousand-Hand Guanyin, and the Hall of the Four Heavenly Kings.

On the mountain top, there is a historic Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha Temple, a Reclining Buddha, and a mountain spring; halfway up the mountain, there is a Chanting Hall and a Thousand-Hand Guanyin Temple; there is also a giant dragon head and the Nine-Dragon Pool, which is the origin of the name Jinlong Temple. Before liberation, there were two monks in the temple, surnamed Song and Jiang respectively. The elder lay practitioner Jiang Qunhua protected the temple. Luzhou Lantian witnesses the 'fairyland at your doorstep'! The hydrangea sea at Jinlong Temple awaits your exploration
As a child, I often went to fetch water at Jinlong Temple, which has now transformed into a 'popular' scenic spot right at our doorstep! Last night, I went for a night stroll with my family, and the hydrangeas that covered the mountains made me feel as if I was in a fairyland, and I couldn't help but exclaim: Is this really the same mountain I used to visit as a child?
Speaking of which, before going up the mountain last night, my sister's comment 'Is there any suosuo...' left me baffled. What? What's suosuo? It turns out my mother and sister couldn't stop laughing and told me that 'suosuo' means snake! It turns out our hometown has such a down-to-earth term, even my 11-year-old niece knows better than me!
The road up the mountain has its own charm. Go up from the right, come down from the left, circling around the mountain without retracing your steps. Going up on the right, the dragon's head is in sight; passing by the 'Zizai Coffee House', a cup of aromatic coffee while overlooking the beautiful scenery at the foot of the mountain is enough for a lifetime!
And speaking of the hydrangeas, they are breathtakingly beautiful! It is said that this sea of flowers was originally the masterpiece of a pilgrim, and now it has become a spectacular sight. As a child fetching water, who would have thought that this mountain would undergo such a dramatic change?
Speaking of the history of Jinlong Temple, it is truly moving. As a child fetching water, I often heard the adults talk about the story of the abbot surnamed Li and how he was killed by bandits. And in the year of my college entrance exam, I also came here to pray for success, and after getting into university, I returned to give thanks. Looking back now, it feels like a lifetime ago.
Friends, if you also want to explore Jinlong Temple, consider coming in the evening, and remember to bring an umbrella! As for why, hehe, you'll know when you get here! Come join us and experience this 'fairyland at your doorstep' together!

Luzhou Jinlong Temple/Charming off-the-beaten-path scenery, rich history, a nationwide sensation!
This time we went to Luzhou Jinlong Temple, which has a history of over a thousand years. The golden dragon was built in recent years and is very visually striking.
At the foot of the temple mountain, you will first pass a Buddha hall.
Through the Buddha hall, you can look up at the majestic dragon head and the spectacular Nine Dragons Pool.
The golden dragon head outdoors in summer shines even more under the sunlight.
Climbing up the steps, you can overlook the entire Luzhou city from the position of the dragon's head, which is a great city view point.
Walking down the mountain from the left side of the temple, you will see many pavilions and Zen courtyards. There are special scripture copying rooms for believers and tourists to copy scriptures for free. There are also several beautiful mountain pavilions for rest.
