The raw octopus, still wriggling on the plate, is an adventurous delicacy best eaten with a dipping sauce of sesame oil and salt, providing a burst of flavor and texture. The abalone, tender and briny, is often served raw or lightly grilled, highlighting its natural sweetness. Vendors skillfully prepare the seafood on the spot, and many restaurants within the market will cook your purchases to order, whether grilled, steamed, or served raw in the traditional Korean way. Paired with spicy gochujang, garlic, and fresh vegetables, each bite feels like a celebration of the sea, making it an unforgettable way to eat like a true local. Korea is also known as the backyard of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, and now I've found the perfect choice for a weekend plus one day off: Busan! It's even more suitable for the working babies in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. This severely underrated treasure of a small city is more beautiful and fun than Seoul, and has better food and shopping than Jeju Island, ah ah ah! We took the train from Seoul to Busan and stayed 2 nights there. We visited Jagachi Market which is one of the popular and largest seafood market in Busan. we are super lucky to find a nice stall (ps see the stall number in one of the photos) who sold us king crabs and snow crabs at super reasonable price which we strongly recommend cause we are obviously not local as we cannot speak the language well. The store owner can speak simple English and we had seafood once a day there. 100% recommend to go to the stall, but feel free to look around.

Day1 Take the KTX from Seoul to Busan, you can take the earliest bus from 8:30 to 11:10 to reach Busan at noon; When visiting Taejongdae, you can buy a ticket to take the small train in the scenic spot.
