Don't come to Tibet in August! I'm telling the truth!!!
Tibet, this mysterious and magnificent land, boasts enchanting scenery. Careful planning before embarking on the journey is crucial to avoid wasting precious time.
Budget and Preparation
It is recommended to reasonably arrange your budget according to your situation. Do not be too frugal, as traveling in Tibet can be relatively expensive. If you choose to fly, immediately go to a clinic or hospital for oxygen and medication if you experience altitude sickness. Do not hope to recover by just sleeping; early treatment ensures a pleasant subsequent journey.
Ways to Enter Tibet
If you have ample time, a train sleeper is a good choice. Avoid hard seats to ensure good rest and reduce the risk of altitude sickness. After arriving in Lhasa, rest at the hotel first. Avoid excessive exercise, walking, washing your hair, bathing, and drinking alcohol to prevent altitude sickness.
Food Experience
Tibet's sweet tea is sweet and delicious, while butter tea has a salty flavor. Some friends may not be accustomed to the taste of butter tea, so try it cautiously.

"Mount Everest: The Magnificent Legend of the Roof of the World."
On the roof of the world, Mount Everest stands tall and majestic, like a silent and dignified giant, witnessing the long changes of time.
The mountain of Mount Everest is majestic and vast, its peak piercing the clouds, covered with ice and snow all year round. The snow and glaciers that shine with cold light are like the silver armor that nature has put on it, shining brightly in the sunlight, making every onlooker feel awe. The endless white is the ultimate display of purity, and every piece of ice and snow is like a page recording the long history of this mountain.
Climbing Mount Everest is a dream deep in the hearts of countless warriors. It is an ultimate confrontation with the forces of nature, and every step upward is accompanied by unimaginable hardships and dangers. The biting cold wind, like a sharp blade, cuts through the air and pierces straight through; the thin oxygen is like a hidden enemy, constantly threatening the life of the climber. However, it is such a harsh environment that still attracts climbers from all over the world to follow in their footsteps.
Mount Everest is not just a mountain, but a symbol of faith. It represents the great spirit of human beings challenging the limits and surpassing themselves. When standing at the foot of Mount Everest, the majestic power from the depths of the earth seems to penetrate the soles of the feet and reach the heart, making people deeply feel the greatness of nature and the insignificance of themselves. And those who have successfully reached the summit have not only conquered a peak, but also overcome the fear and cowardice in their hearts.
It is also the most colorful stroke in the magnificent picture of nature. From the foot of the mountain to the top, a rich and diverse ecosystem is vertically distributed. On the alpine meadows, rare animals and plants live here, coexisting harmoniously with Mount Everest, forming a unique ecological kingdom. This also reminds us that Mount Everest is an important part of the Earth's ecology, worthy of the whole human race to cherish and protect.
Such a great Mount Everest will always stand there, silently telling the world its legend.

Shigatse Tourism.
When it comes to traveling to Tibet, many people choose Lhasa for their first visit, but they definitely won't miss Shigatse the second time. Shigatse is located between the middle section of the Himalayas and the middle section of the Gangdise-Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains, with Mount Everest in its Dingri County. The capital, Samzhubze District, has been established for over 600 years. Samzhubze Dzong and Gyantse Dzong were once political and religious centers.

Mount Everest
For a detailed guide to Everest Base Camp, this one article is enough‼️||One must visit Tibet at least once in their lifetime, and having gone to Tibet, one must witness the golden sunrise on Mount Everest and the vast expanse of the starry sky at least once🌌
I have compiled a super detailed guide to Everest Base Camp, feel free to ask if there's anything you don't understand🌸
⭕️Border Pass
Navigate to the Shigatse Government Service Center, and you can get it processed at the service window on the first floor with your ID card, free of charge.
⭕️Tickets:
Depart from Shigatse and drive along the Shanghai-Nepal Highway for about 6⃣️ hours to the Everest ticket office, 🎫: 160 RMB per person.
Not long after entering the gate is the 108 turns; those who are prone to motion sickness should prepare motion sickness medicine in advance. Along the way, you will pass through the Gawula Pass, which is an excellent vantage point where you can see five 8,000-meter peaks simultaneously. They are Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, Cho Oyu, and Shishapangma🏔
After the 108 turns is the sightseeing bus transfer point, 🎫: 120 RMB per person.
It takes about 1⃣️ hour by sightseeing bus to reach the base camp. There will be checkpoints along the way, so remember to carry your ID card, border pass, and ticket
Photo Check-in📷:
There are four check-in points in total, one on the left climbing up the plank walkway, two horizontal mountain-shaped ones below the walkway, which are also the most popular photo check-in spots, and one in the camp square, but it is farther from Everest. On the right, near the river, there is a stone monument at an altitude of 5200 meters, which is also a good check-in spot.
☀️The highest altitude temple in the world: Rongbuk Monastery is also here.
🎫: 30 RMB per person
Viewing🗻:
The best time to watch the sunset is around eight to nine o'clock. Allow plenty of time, the wind on the mountain is very strong, so be sure to bring hats🕶️ gloves masks, and you can also bring a scarf if needed. There are two free rest points that supply hot water, and there are also self-heating hot pots, grilled sausages, and boiled corn for sale, but seating is limited.
Accommodation🏨:
The accommodation at the camp is in tents⛺️, with the disadvantage of high altitude and inconvenient water use. The advantage is that it is right at the foot of Everest, and on a clear night, you can see the starry sky, and in the morning, you can see the sunrise over Everest🌅
Those who do not wish to stay in tents can take the last bus at 9:30 pm back to Basong Village after watching the sunset. The altitude here is 4200 meters, which is less likely to cause altitude sickness. It is recommended to book in advance, as it can be hard to find a room if you arrive late.

Mount Everest
I have been up close to Mount Everest three times, but the clearest view was in August 2021 at the base camp in the evening. We took the scenic area bus to the base camp at four in the afternoon and didn't come down until seven in the evening, because most of the time we could see the main peak of Mount Everest, which is a rare and grand occasion. The wind was strong and the temperature was low, but once the tripod was set up, we just waited, until the moon rose. Here are a few photos to share with everyone.

Seven magnificent and majestic snow-capped mountains within the territory of Tibet
The Roof of the World—the Tibetan Plateau, is not only home to the world's highest peak but also boasts a series of famous mountain ranges.
These mountains, like a backbone, set up the grandeur and vastness of the Tibetan Plateau, carrying people's hopes and blessings.
1, 🏔 Mount Everest (elevation 8848.86 meters)
It is the main peak of the Himalayas and the highest mountain in China and the world. In Tibetan, 'Zhumu' means 'goddess,' and 'Langma' means 'mother elephant,' which together signify 'Mother of the Earth.' Mount Everest has a giant pyramid shape, standing tall and majestic, reaching into the sky. As the world's highest peak, it attracts countless gazes. Its grandeur is imposing, draped in a thin veil of snow, resembling a celestial maiden.
2, 🏔 Mount Kailash (elevation 6656 meters)
It is the second highest peak of the Gangdise mountain range, with its snow-covered summit shining golden in the sunlight. Its pyramid-like shape is distinct from the surrounding peaks and is also considered a sacred mountain by devout followers.
3, 🏔 Mount Kula Kangri (elevation 7538 meters)
Located in Lhozhag County in the Shannan region of Tibet, it is known as one of the 'Four Great Sacred Mountains' of central Tibet. The entire snow mountain is composed of three peaks. Standing alongside Mount Kula Kangri are six peaks over 7000 meters high. From a distance, the peaks stand shoulder to shoulder, resembling a towering ice and snow barrier that reaches the sky.
4, 🏔 Namcha Barwa (elevation 7782 meters)
It is the highest mountain in Nyingchi, Tibet Autonomous Region. As the sacred site of Tibet's oldest Buddhist tradition, 'Yungdrung Bon,' it is known as the 'Father of Tibetan Mountains.' Its massive triangular peak is perennially snow-covered, shrouded in mist, and rarely reveals its true face, earning it the nickname 'Shy Girl Peak.'
5, 🏔 Shishapangma (elevation 8027 meters)
It is an 8000-meter peak entirely within Chinese territory. In Tibetan, Shishapangma means 'the weather is extremely cold, and the climate is harsh and variable,' but the Tibetan people praise it as an 'auspicious sacred mountain.' Its north slope has a glacier valley over 10 kilometers long, with a forest of ice towers shining like a 'crystal garden.' However, it is also covered with crisscrossing ice and snow crevasses and occasional massive ice and snow avalanches, making climbing extremely difficult.
6, 🏔 Mount Sajama (elevation 6956 meters)
Located in Yangxiu Township, Biru County, it has stood here for thousands of years, surrounded by mountains, with its main peak revered as the king of local sacred mountains. Its highest peak is 6556 meters, also known as 'Sapuganglaga,' and is one of the sacred mountains of the Bon religion in Tibetan Buddhism.
7, 🏔 Cho Oyu (elevation 8201 meters)
It is the sixth highest peak in the world, located on the border between China and Nepal in the Himalayas. 'Cho Oyu' in Tibetan means 'the great master.' Cho Oyu stands tall and mighty in the Himalayas. Cho Oyu has five main ridges, and its mountain is perennially snow-covered, surrounded by snow peaks, with layers of mountains presenting a spectacular view.
Let's appreciate the photos of the snow-capped mountains taken by friends who travel to Tibet! 🏔

Leisure time at Everest Base Camp
The day before at Gawula Pass, I was fortunate enough to witness the spectacular view of the sunrise over Mount Everest. At that moment, the sun shone on the peak of Everest, as if the whole world was dyed gold. 🌄
In the evening, I chose to stay overnight in Basong Village. The tranquility here contrasts sharply with the magnificence of Everest. The next morning, I took the shuttle bus to Everest Base Camp. The weather was surprisingly good, and there were very few tourists in winter, making it feel like my own world. 🏔️
At the base camp, I chose to 'let go', leisurely enjoying the tranquility and awe that this pure land brings me. But having said that, the view of Everest from Gawula Pass was the most awe-inspiring. The perspective and light there were just right, giving me a deeper reverence for the wonders of nature. 🙏
On this trip to Everest, I not only enjoyed the beautiful scenery, but also found inner peace in letting go. Perhaps, the meaning of travel lies in these inadvertent moments and feelings. 🌈

Everest: From distant to present miracle
Once, Mount Everest was an unreachable place for me, a sacred place that could only be looked up to in dreams or pictures. 🏔️ But now, I stand at the Everest Base Camp, and the snow mountain in front of me is so real, so shocking.
At the moment of arriving here, I deeply felt the power of the snow mountain. It is not just a mountain, but a symbol of spirit, the precipitation and accumulation of nature for billions of years. 🌀
Before coming here, I had imagined the scene of meeting Everest countless times, and also thought of ten thousand reasons why I might not meet it. But when I really stand here, all imaginations and doubts have vanished. It is there, unreservedly displayed in front of me, like an ancient guardian, quietly waiting for every visitor.
I believe that in the future, I will encounter more snow mountains and grander scenes. But this encounter with Everest, the energy and enlightenment it gives me is irreplaceable. It makes me understand more that in the face of the greatness and vastness of nature, what we can do is to maintain awe and humility, and also not forget to explore and move forward. 🌟
Everest, you are here, quietly guarding this land and every visitor. And I, will also continue my journey with the strength and blessings you give. 🙏

Average 3-4k! Winter travel to Tibet is simply winning
Is it suitable to go to Tibet in winter?
Few people, beautiful scenery, no need to queue for photos, no need to retouch.
Except for temples, almost all scenic spots are free.
Low cost, transportation and accommodation are more than half cheaper than the peak season.
There are many Tibetan festivals in January, and the Tibetan New Year is approaching, which can deeply feel the customs and culture of Tibet.
Limited beautiful scenery, glaciers, waterfalls, most of the beautiful scenery has matured in January.

A super comprehensive guide to Everest from September to November is here
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are connected, and there will be an 8-day holiday
So many friends are planning to travel to Tibet during the National Day, and many people are planning to go to Everest~
.
Many people will ask, is Everest 8848 meters above sea level?
✓Everest is indeed 8848
But we are going to 📍Everest Base Camp
The altitude of Everest Base Camp is 5️⃣2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣~
.
To go to Everest, you need to ✅apply for a border pass
It can be handled in Lhasa or Shigatse (it is recommended to handle it at the place of household registration before departure)
.
Everest experience sharing (speed watch!)
❖Ticket 160/person, transfer to eco-car 120/person
❖108 turns, really too many bends, people who get carsick eat motion sickness medicine in advance
❖Compared to Everest Base Camp, Gawula Mountain Pass must not be missed! The view is super good, you can see five snow-capped mountains over 8000 meters above sea level at once
❖The accommodation at Everest Base Camp is not very good, it is inconvenient to wash, it is recommended to stay in Basong Village~
❖High anti:
This is a point of concern for many sisters. When you reach an altitude of 5200, everyone has some symptoms to varying degrees (it is recommended that everyone buy some bottled oxygen in Shigatse or Lhasa for emergency)
❖The last eco-car is at 21:30 in the evening
.
🎈Those who come to Tibet after September, the standard equipment is T-shirt + thermal underwear + fleece storm jacket + Martin boots + hat + sunglasses
.
🎈During the National Day in October, it is basically sunny, and it is not as hot as in July and August, and the temperature is very comfortable
The temperature is slightly lower in the morning and evening, and the scenery in Tibet at this time is beautiful and picturesque. Those who want to travel to Tibet can come with confidence
.
🎈November in Tibet is the off-season for tourism, which is very suitable for a pleasant and not so crowded trip in Tibet
.
About high anti:
1⃣️After arriving in Lhasa, take a break for 2-3 days, and then go to high-altitude areas after adaptation
Don't take a bath or wash your hair in one day, slow down, don't run and jump and other strenuous exercises, keep your mentality calm
2⃣️Medicine: glucose + plateau safety, prepare some motion sickness medicine for those who get carsick
3⃣️Oxygen: If you don't need to inhale, don't inhale. If there is no obvious high anti in Lhasa for a few days, the portable one is enough when going out
4⃣️Drink more hot water! Keep warm! Don't catch a cold!
ItinerantSoul
A viewing point for Mount Everest that doesn't require a ticket
It's accessible by car!
At the same time, you can see three large snow-capped mountains
Not only Everest, but also Cho Oyu and Shishapangma.
Navigate to Dongba Village, remember.
When you reach an ancient castle, you're there!
But it's best to shoot with a telephoto lens

Traveling to Tibet
This is a relaxing trip after resignation, and the destination is Tibet, which I have longed for. Before coming, I was worried about various problems, such as altitude sickness, what to do if there is a lack of oxygen, and the weather getting cold might not allow me to play freely. But once any worries are decided, they are thrown behind my mind, so I set off alone!
After arriving, I feel happy to breathe the thin oxygen on the plateau. I went to the Potala Palace and saw the devout Tibetans praying for blessings. I went to Namjagbarwa Peak to see the sunrise, and I went to Mount Everest, which I only saw in textbooks. At night, I saw the starry sky at Mount Everest, which also allowed me to experience the feeling of a full view of the stars. I am very happy that I did not have altitude sickness, which allowed me to enjoy my own time under high altitude! The scenery is also absolutely stunning!
It is said that Tibet lacks oxygen, but not faith. Everyone has a dream of Tibet in their hearts. However, everyone must be prepared before setting off, depending on their physical condition.
Finally, be brave, Tibet is not far away!!!
