#gooutside From Chongqing getting to the mountains is easy. It's a simple walk from most downtown spots about an hour to either Nanshan or Geleshan. It's also easy enough to take a taxi to the entrance points. Nanshan has lovely quiet hiking routes than show up on Baidu maps, so you can set the location at the top whether it's the tree viewing platform or the golden eagle and find the hiking trail for your day. The routes are quiet and we'll forged so it's easy enough, bit there are almost no vendors until you reach the top, so worth taking a little extra water. There are also reservoirs and little farms that the locals are maintaining on the route to the summit. To top it off the views at the top over the metropolis of Chongqing are awesome!!!

A perfect trail walk on a peaceful route. Getting onto the path is a little tricky, but when heading from Chaotianmen Bridge Baidu maps walking option will guide you up the east west path via the reservoir. The path will take around 10,000 steps and is really quiet and shaded, ideal for a hot day. At the start of the path there is a check in station to scan a qr code at and show health codes. Unlike a lot of trails in China there were no vendors on the route, so I'd recommend taking water or snacks. The path leads to the Golden eagle, a couple restaurants and viewpoints for panoramic views of Chongqing. Worth the walk! #passionpassport
