This botanical garden that constructed in 1888 is located near to the Kuala Lumpur station and I would say this is the proud of Malaysian as it contains largest collection of flowers in the city centre.
If you are a flower lover, this is the place for you and even in a hustle city, you can even enjoy its tranquility without travelling to the suburban areas. Highlights here, they are even having the orchid and hibiscus garden specifically inside the spot.

As the 1st recreational park in Kuala Lumpur, Taman Botanical Garden has been a wonderful place for families to visit during the weekend or holiday time!!
Other than the instagrammable design, it comes with small waterfall, children playground, fountain, herb farm, flower gardens, rusa park that you will definitely spend more than 2-3 hours walking around!!!
In the evening, this is even a good place to picnic or do the kayaking in the small lake in front of the mini mart without any additional charge!!
Reminder:
- Do have mentally preparation that it will be very packed and crowded in the weekend! Will need to spend some time to get a parking lot.

Just 10 minutes away by walking from Kuala Lumpur station, this is the Perdana Botanical Garden that will always packed with people during weekend. Surrounded by the greenery, you can enjoy exercising, jogging, picnic and walk around to have digital detox from the walk.
Highly recommend to pay a visit as well if you are having child and they will be enjoying the environment there.

A beautiful garden and a botanical garden! Many specialized areas including world trees, orchid varieties and medicinal plants. The park is completely free and very close to Central Station.
They are very well maintained and great areas for kids to play!
The park atmosphere does not make you feel like you are in the capital of Malaysia, - Kuala Lumpur. The park is big If you don’t want to walk, you can rent a buggy to tour the park and nearby museums, the Negara Mosque and Bird Park. You can take a walk in the park, there are many places to rest and relax
This park was the first stop on my first day in Kuala Lumpur. It's huge and very beautiful, I spent most of the day there wandering the trails. There are a lot of signs to get to know the different plants and flowers, it will be a great place for a picnic too! One of my favorite activities during my time in Kuala was Lymph, I mentioned it to several people afterwards.
On a visit with friends probably at the wrong time of day, we had a picnic around the parks which are also home to many other attractions such as the Bird Park and the Museum of Islamic Arts!
Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy a botanical garden, and more if you want to visit some other attractions.

Of course this is the Perdana Botanical
Garden. A real green paradise among the stone jungle. I love walking along its paths, because here you can find shade and coolness even in hot weather. Measuring 91.6 hectares (226 acres), it is located in the heart of the city and established in 1888.
Tips for visiting: take water and picnic food with you - there aren't many places in the park where you can buy drinks or snacks 😉

A hidden gem in Kuala Lumpur
Crazy how we were so close to this place and we didn’t even hear about it. It was quite close to the main monorail and LRT stations right in the heart of KL. We decided to walk and oh my goodness it was well worth it, the road to it was very calm and pretty. It is just insane that not many people come here even though it is totally free of charge, and definitely worth a visit.
